I don't want to hear any racists comments from [>30<] members towards the other team.  That means in the lobby or in the game.  Just because the other team can't hear you doesn't mean that it's OK.  You never know who you are playing with.  We are a clan of many nationalities and races.  We have blacks, whites, hispanics, Cubans, English, Canadians, French Canadians, and who knows what else.  Don't disrespect your clanmates by using racist or prejustice comments.  If you think that you might have said something recently in a lobby or game that might have offended someone DON'T do it again please.

My previous/ current post should act as a general rule of conduct and is not intended for anyone in particular, but to all [>30<] members as a whole.

I like giving people a hard time and I expect it back.  We have a good group of guys and girls here and I want it to stay this way..I love a good joke. They are what they are, but in order for a joke to be laughed at everyone needs to know you are joking.  I don't want to hear from us what I hear from other people in random matches. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable.  If anyone has a problem with anything clan related feel free to come to me.  I will do my best to handle the situation as unbiast and as diplomatic as possible.

I will allow the continuing naming of myself to be "Token Canadian" though.
Point well taken though as this clan was established to get away from bs like the use of derogatory or racial slurs.

Don't forget about me eh?  I don't mind CANADA humoUr either as long as it's not directed at non-30s.  I really do not like it when we run into racist big clans, or even singles that talk trash about others just because they can and get away with it.  It is weak and cowardly.
We've got some pretty creative and hilarious guys that can make fun of the other team without needing to stoop to that level

+1.  Sounds like common sense to me, but I'm sure at some point, someone will need to be reminded.  Perhaps an addition to the rules for those that forget?

luckily ive not heared any racist remarks in the lobby from our side yet and that sort of trash is not what we are about... with that in mined i know you guys have your american/canadian divide the same as us with the north/south thing.. god knows i get enough stick for being a cockney lol. banter between friends is cool and very funny but there can be a fine line when talking to others you dont know well enough or even talking around them... keep it clean till you know your friend is down with it.... well said the1 thats +1 from me too and ill try not to let it happen in my lobby.

Great group of guys and when it's all in good fun then it's all in good fun.  Blanket statements like "I fucking hate all XYZ" should probably be avoided because really, most of us don't actually know each other all that well and XYZ could be in your party.

I have seen this happen a couple of times several months ago.  I dont think the person who called out the random group was racist per-se, but if they knew that the other member in the lobby from the same group he was trashing I am sure he would have chosen his insults more carefully.

We cant see each others nationality so it may be helpful to be mindful.

i felt that this should be moved over from the old site as the problem still exists. we have many different people here from all sorts of backgrounds ie; gay, black, white, oriental, man or women etc and none are a divide and i would appreciate it if the comments by some where not said at all. we are all adults and know how to conduct our self's in public. the 30 will not tolerate any racist abuse, bullying or or any other form of nastiness thats meant to degrade someone. we have lots of new members here and all should read this and use it as a guideline for conduct online.
im making it a sticky for easy access.

@ nine, I'm sure the joke is not what would have made this resurface.
I'd be willing to bet that in a lobby someone went on a sexual orientated-nationality rant.
That is not welcomed in this clan.

Jokes are fine, many of the funniest jokes have some bit of racism, but jokes are jokes.

I think we also need to be aware of players with names that might be seen as offensive. Not wanting to name and shame but one springs to mind immediatly (shorty you know who i am talking aout). Do we really want people with offensive names flying the 30 clan tag.

i was giving him a chance but i haven't seen him on line since so i haven't spoken to him but i will be .. i think he just got it a bit wrong thinking on the syko side of things when he was thinking of a psn but i dont believe he is bad .. he hasn't spoken on the mic yet so i dont even know if he is legit yet.. im on it guys dont worry ..

Killface I asked this same question to Manic yesterday. We have no rules set up for this. What is offensive for one Nationality may not be offensive for another Nationality. I knew nothing about this guys name at all. So obviously it is not offensive to me. I would have thought none the different of it.

On the other hand. What about other names? Where do we draw the line? Jeffery Dahmer, David Koresh, Osama bin Ladin, Jack the Ripper, IBeatMyWife, OJ Simpson, Barack Obama, and BigASSCowCock. Many of these names can be found offensive for many different people. We need to set a general guideline and set it as a rule that if a name is deemed offensive by a certain number of members that it is put to a vote as to whether we allow the name or not. If we choose not, them the new member can change their name or get the boot.

I looked through the list of member names, and I only saw 1 that could be offensive to other people. Anyone want to take a guess?

1.  Be Respectful!  We are all adults.  I don't care if you are black, white, female, spanish, gay, confused, and/or the worst player ever.  Everyone over 30 is welcome, and should always feel like they are welcomed here.  Keep the forums as clean as possible.  Don't make me bring out the pimp hand.  Nuff said...

2.  Have Fun!  That's what this clan is all about.  Learning how each person plays and finding out how each member can contribute to the team is essential to being a successful clan.

3.  30 is the rule.  Under 30's have to be voted in and know someone in the clan.  If you are inactive on my friends list I will delete you.  If you are inactive on BO and on the forum I will delete you from both places.   If you are in active on the forums, but active in the game you get a pass.

4.  You must be able to speak and type in English.  I hate to have this as a rule but I cannot read or type in any foreign languages, and I feel that it is neccessary to be able to communicate with everyone in the clan and on the forums.

5.  Play with the clan.  I know that sometimes people like to play a few games solo which is completely fine, even I do it, but you joined a clan for a reason.  Make reasonable efforts to play with your clanmates.

6.  No advertising websites or other clan pages.  Keep links to a mininum.  This is for security purposes.  There is a link section.    If you would like something added that you visit regularly let me know and I may or maynot add it.

7.  No recruiting.  If you try to recruit members of Over 30 to join your clan you will be banned.  If you succeed in recruiting people from Over 30, I wish you all the best of luck, but you and the members that you taken will be banned and blocked from the website.

8.  No use of offensive usernames, playercards, PSN's, or XBox Live Accounts is allowed.  Other than the blatently obvious, anything deemed offensive by another member will be set to a vote.  If the vote turns out not in your favor, then you will change the offensive material, or you can find a new home.

9.  To be written at a later date.

You could be correct, but do you see what I am saying though? Will everyone see it that way or will some new member take offense to it? Would it lose in a vote of the members, or would it stay because Sac has been a member for a while? What if Sac was a new guy and an older member took offense to it? What if the name was DevilWillRise or JewSlayer666?

Problem is that we have an open registery. I don't approve members. They are auto approved as long as they register with a birthday showing that they are over the age of 30.

I do look at them though, but a member may actually be playing with clanmates online before they signup for the website.

If someone tries to join with a really offensive name, he is probably a bigot and not 30 material anyway.

@ The1 - Oh, I see. It was just an idea...

Most people with truly offensive names do it to get a reaction....They use them in game were they can mute or leave when things get tough for them. I highly doubt anyone with a consious and Dbag name would sign up here where they would have to undergo scrutiny for their name.

I'm just bumping this because I heard some stuff from a member last night that was unacceptable. Not sure who and I don't really care, but if I hear it again I'm calling you out.

I myself am guilty of throwing f@g out there...I'm trying not to do it, but every once in awhile I let it slip...my wife has scolded me for it...
