so what about matey boys comment ??????
ss says
Don't forget to tell them that you can put teammates in all the spawn locations except for one and it will force all spawns at the specific location that does not have a person on that location. We have had games on nuketown where we had guys spawning right in front of us because the spawn system detected enemy players are in one of six spawn locations.
so you guys have done some home work lol seriously that is a arsehole tactic right there .. sorry im done with this thread ive been watching since birth and it sucks ..................

LOL Seriously all Im just playing and am not offended in any way. I enjoy a Heated discussion as much as any one. Im just maken sure were all on the same page.
More Info about me
1) I do believe JACK ASS 500 kill games SUCK and are not right lol 2) I do love to controll the other team to give our team the time needed to plant the bombs 3) Prolonging the game for kills Is fun for the winning team and Painful for the poeple being spawn trapped. 4) I have been on both ends of the spectrum and understand the importance of a TAC INSERT 5) My highest game is 109 kills and I was 3rd on the team. < = GUILTY OF SPAWN TRAPPING 4 KILLS> 6) I use theese same tactics to keep my team able to plant bombs 7) I have had literally 100s of demo games when im the only one who can keep the opposing team from getting out of there spawns allowing our team to win Demo Games in just a few mins. I use theese tactics to WIN and have fun. If you look at my stats I have only a 1.10 KD and barily a 1 win loss on my Deoge Account. Thats means I had gotten my ass kicked for a long time but in a few months I was able to Increase my w/L and K/D by playing smart.
Have a happy day all and soon I will have another copy of black ops lol:P

This tread is getting blown out of context guys. If you want to play DEM and win, you have got to understand the spawns and how teams can spawn trap you. If you don't study and understand how teams can spawn trap you, you will never know best how to overcome this style of play. About 90% of the pub DEM games you have played, you have teams only focusing on trapping so if you don't know where the locations are and the tactics, the odds are you will not win.
To be a better all-around player, these types of topics need to be openly discussed without the community getting offended.
If any of you log onto the site of our old clan, you will not find either of us or for that matter STG in general focusing on trapping, it's all about tactics and understanding everything about the game.
It's not fair to tag someone with a negative image when the intention is to help folks be a better player.
Sorry my comments touched on a sore point for some of you guys, as it appears that many have been trapped before and don't want to hear anything about this topic.
Please no offense to anyone, the intention is not to create a spawn trapping community or team.
Regards, Belmont

I agree with Belmont and while I do not spawn trap I am very appreciative that Silverback has taken the time to share his knowledge with us. Prior to this thread I knew what spawn trapping was, but never understood exactly how it worked or where the spawns were. I just knew it was a big, bad thing that I didn't want to dish out or be on the recieving end of. It is critical to understand how the system works so that you can recognize when your team is being spawn trapped and understand how to break the trap. Know I understand a little better how to help prevent being spawn trapped. I would much rather catch it early and prevent it than run around the map being confused, killed as soon as I spawn, and rage quitting.

TA DA! I am here with my inflated mod head. Someone reported a post booster in this thread and I had a pretty good idea who it was. Bad Manic. You need a time out in the corner without your laptop and red-headed midget with braces porn. If you want some dental work I can hook you up. I won't guarantee what will happen after I knock you out with the gas though.
This thread has remained mostly civil and the polar discussion of opposing game play is encouraged in this clan as long as personal attacks do not occur.

Thanks for helping clear the water BigDaddy. A good example of how these details can help your team win is a follows:
1. How is the team being trapped and what is the pattern? a. Is it a “choke point” pattern with tact-inserts near the chokes? b. Is it a “cover spawn” pattern with tact-inserts near the spawns? c. Is it a “force spawn” pattern with tact-inserts near the spawns?
It’s important to know how to identify these patterns and how to overcome them. The first approach is used in every game type found and is used by all military forces in the world and is commonly mislabeled as spawn trapping, especially when you are getting owned. The second two are clearly “spawn traps”, but it’s something we all have come across and instead of rage quitting , I would rather know how to defend against it and potentially turn the game around and win the match.
I am sure everyone has heard of the sayying - “To catch a criminal, you have to think like one!”, this is no different. To beat a spawn trap, you have to know how to do it and what they are thinking.
Again, sorry to have pushed the wrong buttons for some of you, that was not the intention.
Sincerely, Belmont

not really any of my business , but here's my 2 cents.........
i've won plenty of demo games without spawn trapping, and i'm sure i'll win plenty more. i play this game for fun.....win or lose i have fun, and by studying all the spawn points and trying to close them off seems like work to me.....i just cant be arsed, but thats just me
the main reason i play with The 30's is too have fun, win with solid comms, a little bit of skill, and a lot of luck. it will be a sad day to see The 30's take this route on spawn trapping, but to each their own i guess

Spawn trapping is lame and yes I have been guilty of it, a few randoms added me to help them spawn trap and it was fun learning something new, but it didn't take take long to realise these guys were douche bags. Losing games because they were so busy killing ppl that spawn right in front of them that they would not plant or defuse bombs for the win. However I think this topic is a good one, it highlights the fact
- we all need to have a T.I. class available when playing Demo
- we already always have someone on the team who knows how to rush past the objective and lock a spawn at the choke points, that's why we win so many games now and I don't hear complaints about that
- having this kind of knowledge will help us beat better players and other clans
Understanding the spawn system for certain games types gives you 2 choices;
1) Ignore the objective, kill whore ppl who spawn in your sights and ruin their day.
2) Cut of the choke points out of the spawn best you can to take the objective, and win a game fairly because the other team have had a fighting chance.
I know which one I'd pick...

here here .. well said kill face . .. number 2 is my way to play when im not running around like a headless chicken lol and you and gorilla have raised good points that we do need to know playing demo ... i did not know a napalm could flip a spawn. and yes im now aware of the importance of ti and i never used it before but will now.
the way i see it you don't need to know exact spawn points in demo unless you are practising dirty spawn trapping because they are fixed so they always come from the same direction in which case we can cut and choke the routes to bombs.
my comments before may have been strong but i feel strong about this because cod is my down time from a very hectic lifestyle. and having had my day ruined before because of this tactic/fault with the game, makes me want to rage quit and i don't rage quit with exception of 2 times in my cod experiences. when i said "arsehole tactic" that was exactly what i meant .. that sitting 5 people on a spawn point each so 1 person can rape the last one sucks arse and why would i need to know that ? and i was in no way calling some one a arsehole.

I see valid points in both arguments. I do feel that even tough the objective of the game is to stop/prevent the enemy from planting the bomb we as the 30's should grace our enemies with the mercy to rape them in a matter of 'non spawn trapping way' so that they as a whole can feel proud of themselves for putting up some effort of futile resistance.
