Is it just my imagination?

Is it just my imagination or is it way to easy for I.M.S. and sentry guns to be destroyed in Ghosts? It seems like almost every time I get these two killstreak rewards they get taken out within minutes and I'm lucky to get more than two kills out of either one of them.

Huh, i had a sentry gun once,.......................Just stood there while some dude sat in front of it knifing it, so i re-named it to POS lawn art!

Whenever I get one, I try to put it in the nosebleed section where nobody can get behind it and I still end up babysitting the damned thing. Got to love them perks, huh?

Ha, then I'm not the only one! And that is a very fitting name for it. Think its time to change my killstreak rewards to Support or Specialist since what could have been my favorite rewards are POS.

I know what you mean. Having to babysit what should be a set-it-and-forget-it device defeats the whole purpose of having something that's automated. And I think its more than just the perks. I mean, sure, I run Blind Eye and Incog on some of my classes and have walked up on sentry guns myself, but I think the limited range of the sentry makes it nearly useless anyways. The other day I took one out head-on with a Honey Badger without running any of those perks. The shocking thing about it was how quickly I was able to destroy it (without Armor Piercing rounds) and how close I was to it at the time.

Someone had set one up in the corner next to the garage on Octane covering the open area between the gas station and the strip joint and I was able to easily take it out from the close corner of the hotel without it ever firing a single shot in my direction. The sentry gun from BO2 would have wasted me the moment I broke cover even if I were on the far side of the map!

Man, I love the BO2 sentry! It has always been an easy way to rack up a bunch of additional kills while I'm running around a completely different area of the map. The one in Ghosts, as cool as it looks and sounds, is complete garbage.

Ive played blitz and the enemy had sentrys defending the goal,and we still easily scored before the things started even firing.definately a dumbed down sentry gun compared to blops2.

Yes i agree with Ralphee The ghosts one stinks. I only use attack streaks the most luck ive had are with the trinity rocket,griffin,and helo with my try hard on

I put one up last night (I don't get many on the first place) and it was destroyed after it earned only one kill. I had it setup in a corner covering C Dom in Overlord.

I.m.s that's my favorite KS. Gets me at least 2 kills every time I put one down good for a five streak. Sentry gun on the other hand suck. But I like how the KS or not OP in ghost

I have to agree with Red, I really like the fact that the point streaks offer a slight momentum shift but are not game-changing. Now that asshat sitting in the corner trying to rack-up kills isn't being rewarded as much for it.

I too have noticed that. I used I.M.S. and Sentry Gun in hopes of completing an Operation needing 6 or 10 kills with a Kill Streak and was greatly disappointed with the amount of kills you can get even in hardcore with them.

That being said is there a Kill Streak that makes it easier to obtain that Operation?

Try the Helo Pilot streak. It's user-operated, and it highlights the enemies for you.

I take down Helo pilots choppers and attack choppers with 1 mag on my M27, i've even gone toe to toe with the attack chopper shooting at me and won many a times, i swear it's a drunken slam up there piloting those things.

Pretty much just run support for ammo, armor and oracles.

For the amount of ammo i go through with a machine gun i need ammo crates.
