Black ops 2 details leaked

Sounds like its going to be pretty sweet.

Played black ops with my cousin the other day (doesn't have mw3) was a blast. Hopefully they don't screw it up. no infected (z0mbies probably) and no team defender. but they kept point streaks.

You'd at least think people would try to leak rumours of destructable environments....even if it wasn't true. You'd think that would be something to help re-invent CoD.

So far there is ZERO "new" coming to any CoD games based on that leaked list. A lame game mode we will never play (escort) and some of the good MW3 aspects being carried over to Blops 2.

Some really good points in there that would make me happy. Map style similar to Blops1 is a huge one for me as the MW3 maps are one of the main reasons i hate the game. I guess i can deal with the point streaks for capping flags/disarm bombs etc but please Treyarch stick with non stackable streaks. Get it back to needing to work for a streak instead of having it handed to you by letting a reward get you another. Make it like the first which made you feel like you actually accomplished something when you landed your streaks. Add in keeping the secondaries limited to pistols and launchers would add icing to the cake.

Agreed Nixon, the stacking of KS is a bummer for noobs like me.

The lag comp seems to be the biggest issue as this is what makes people rage the most.

Here is to hoping that COD takes a page out of BF3's playbook and see what the result of the consumer bought servers is. If there is demand on the console side maybe there will be reason to go private servers if the community is willing to pay for it.

I'd be ok with shottys as secondaries. I used to like running akimbo 1887s as the secondary with an AR. Shottys in this game are only effective as a primary if they're leveled up to damage or range, which is an incredible PITA.

If the article is to be believed, shotguns will be primary.

The heat seeker reward talks about gaining a heat/x-ray scope on all primaries except shotguns (which seems racist to me as we havn't even started and we are already on an uneven playing field).

Will the next Battlefield be out around then? If so, I might as well not even go to BO2...

I highly doubt EA is going to be releasing a Battlefield every year like CoD, so that means you need to wait till 2013 for a new BF.

With the latest release date for bf3 add ons being winter, I doubt there will be another bf3 until, like jsavvy says, the following year. I played mw3 last night for about an hour or so. it was good to talk to the fellas I hadn't played with for a while, but I must say I don't miss mw3.

I miss all the guys that went to BF3 and today I downloaded and installed the latest BF3 patch cause I am thinking of playing just to talk to you guys for a night.

As for BO2.....I hope it runs well and has little connection issues just so I can get you BF3 guys to maybe buy it and we can all play together again.

For me its a given that ill be buying Blops2. I miss playing with ya Savvy and the rest of the crew but I just cant bring myself to play MW3 again. BF3 to me feels like the blops days with all the goofing off and shit we get into.

I think BF3's com being between team mates and not having to listen to the punk kids talk crap make it great for me. No words need be spoken when T-bagging a corner camper or an individual not playing the objective (hiding high in the hills on Kharg Island sniping). And of course getting those tags, right Nixon?

Yep, we miss you guys as well. That is the main reason we made attempts to recruit people over. Now may be a good time to start playing again since the patch screwed up everyone's OP weapon attachment set-ups so we are all a little like noobs again.

We miss the guys, but have no love for MW3.

On a side note Savvy, Turp is back and has run with us for the last few nights.

I too will be getting BOII for sure with the hope that it is all the goodness that was BO without any of the MW3 BS.

BF3 has dlc scheduled for into winter, so I doubt that there will be a BF4 this fall. I too expect one in 2013 and will be getting it. MW4 or whatever IW product comes about will not be 1st on my list this time around.

Is Blops 2 going to be cold war era again? I'd like to see more contemporary weapons and killstreaks, but I do hope they bring back the hell hounds and keep the B52 under the ASSAULT KS where it belongs!

I don't know why, but the BB seemed so much more powerful of a KS than the Advanced UAV. This is a dumb question, but in blops, you could never hide from a BB no matter if you were using Ghost pro or not, right? I think Assassin Pro hides you from AUAV's, no?

I hope they don't require dumb ass challenges to unlock pro perks. Killing a sentry gun and throwing back grenades were stupid requirements for pro perks. I think I prefer the IW way of pro-ing perks.

I too miss the boys and a few weeks ago I made an effort to put in MW3 more. it was great to run with the old BO crew, but the game just didn't satisfy me the way BF3 does. Since the most recent MW3 patch it sounds like it is even worse and that frustrates me. I do hope that they fix it right for those that continue playing MW3, but I look forward to seeing Savvy and Turp in BF3. I haven't played with either of them for a long time. I am sure I will lemming along and buy BO2, but I doubt I will be spending the money to renew my elite premium account.

Elite can suck it. I'll pay for the DLC a la carte unless they REALLY sweeten the deal. Getting the maps early is no great benefit if they force you to play game modes you don't want to play.

Exactly. Why should we, as premium members, be forced to go to a special place to play maps we paid for. How about those that didn't by the maps get their butts punted to the curb whenever a map they didn't buy comes up in rotation?

Yeah Elite is pretty much one of the biggest f-ups I've ever seen in the gaming world. Having the new maps segregated in their own area with modes we don't ever play(or want to) is beyond dumb.

I've barely played Piazza and Liberation and Overwatch I've played a total of once and that was on my own. I'll be stopping my Elite membership as well as I don't feel it added any value and actually subtracted from it in many ways.

I'm very hopeful that Treyarch will come through with the far more detailed in-game statistics like they had in Black Ops. It's so lame that the mode we mostly play, Domination doesn't have something as basic and crucial as caps/defends in it.

Except all CoD games going forward will run off Elite, including Black Ops 2 so they better get their shit together.

Crud. This is confirmed? Well they have plenty of time to fix it before Blops 2. I'm considering Elite 1.0 to be a total fail and shameless money grab. Perhaps Elite 2.0 will actually function.

I don't think anything is confirmed, I'm just speculating since Black Ops had an Elite tie-in right? Elite is more an Activision thing than a IW or Treyarch thing.

I just pre-ordered BLops2 at gamestop (and got my fancy poster).

BO was definitely better than MW3, but I have to say that I am having a lot of fun with the late night WC'ers.

Razor joined us last night and added to the fun.

If it were not for that group I would have put MW3 away long ago.
