Here is a link to information about black ops 2 released yesterday. My favorite listing is below.

Multiplayer:

You can now make a class based on how much equipment you have, rather than having to choose stuff you don’t ever use. For example, it is possible to have 6 perks if you choose to not carry a primary or secondary weapon (you will have just a knife). If you choose to pick a primary gun, it will say you need to replace one of those perks. If you don’t like any perks, you can add more features to your primary or secondary.

Live Streaming – Black Ops 2 will now have a live streaming feature built right in. You can automatically stream your gameplay over the internet easily. You would require a camera though for the feature that shows your face. This may or may not work with Kinect.

Dedicated servers – Black ops 2 will now feature deticated servers, so now you wont have to worry about host migrations when someone leaves the match.

I hope this is true about the dedicated servers. It would make gameplay WAY better.

we just have to hope, it sounds like they are trying to address all the problems that have been plaguing the recent cod games. just gotta wait and see.

This makes me want to play some black ops tonight. If no one is on Battlefield like last night I'm going to try it out. Dedicated Servers would be great, could play no lag matches with the EUK30 like on BF3.

I heard the dedicated servers is only for PC players.

There are a lot of subjects referring to lag in previous games on the treyarch site, maybe they actually listened for once, like the fellas at DICE (for you jsavvy)

I doubt the name of the USS Barack Obama is a real thing in this game....I don't think they really would use anyone living. However, an aircraft carrier MP map could be cool.

OK, So I go to Treyarch's BLack ops II website and create a login for their forum. I post a thread asking if there is anyone that knows for sure that dedicated servers will be for console or exclusively PC only. Aside from the fucking dickhead smartass reply I got from one douchebag, the word for now that it will be PC only. If I get any other word or link off this thread beside that of a dickhead non ball-dropped 13 year old punk-ass kid I'll post the update and link if there is one. Very Happy

Resitence Fall of Man had a Aircraft Carrier for a MP Map. That game was effing awesome. The sequels, not so much.

If there are any presidents of recent times that deserve their own carrier, it's Clinton.... The USS Slick Willy would be so much better than the USS Barack Obama

Wait a minute... There was one console game that had dedicated servers for multiplayer. It wasn't hugely popular because when it came out people where still in love with Black Ops. It had dedicated servers for multiplayer. There were issues with the servers at first because they did not think that they where going to be hit so hard and they where not running much at launch which also did not help out. So don't lose total hope that it will be for PC only. Let's just hope that if they do have the dedicated servers that they are tested for a high load because otherwise they aren't going to be running very smooth.

The hope stops here, Activision loves their money and dedicated servers only loses them money. Now if they want to charge me $15/month for dedicated servers I would do that in a heartbeat. Sorry guys it won't happen unless they charge us......$$$$ rules all with big companies.

Hop, resistance was fun, it had dedicated servers didn't it? All I know is Resistance 2 had freakin 125 man multiplayer and ran 10 times smoother than any COD!
