Black Ops 2 Thoughts So Far

So far it has been terrible. I am rocking a .64 k/d and been thrown into a ton of losing matches. Getting insta killed after putting full clips into people. I am hoping for major improvement once the game is fully released on Tuesday and really hope this iis due to the limited number of people online.

On a good note I was thrown into matches with a couple of 30's that have the game. I ran with a party of 5 last night and we could barely win a game. I think I have won 3 games total. I was in a match with Ronny Ravage until he rage quit lol. Which I couldnt blame him. I will be starting a new GT when it is fully released more than likely as I found you can't particiate in Race to Commander if you played early, and the stats will not be reset upon launch.

I will tell you score streaks are deadly in this game. The hellfire and lightning strike have been kicking my ass. The unlocking system is a bit different than what I have become accustomed to and will take some getting used to. Basically you have to earn tokens which you use to choose what you want to unlock with most of the good shit being available at level 40 or above. Which I have already seen people that are level 40 but that is the highest so far, I would say they have had to of boosted to get there when the servers have only been up 12 hours. Unless they have played for the entire time they have been up on a kick ass connection.

I look forward to more people getting the game to die along side me and hope my experoence becomes more enjoyable.

Ugh.. that's what you get for having the game before everyone else... lol just messing with you.. but i am sure it will be better on tuesday

I think getting on early is the polar opisite of playing the day after Christmas. I'm a little worried about what you say about the lag. If its bad right now how will it be with a couple 100,000 people are on.

I tried to watch the live stream from last night on the saved but it only had one match and 3 hours of blue screen

All the footage should be there from last night. I forgot to turn the stream off when I went to bed though lol.

Actually been busy all day and havent played at all. Going to bed now and will try again in the morning when I am not so damn tired.

Did I miss something? How are people getting the game?

I heard there is a patch being released at day 1, with rumors that stats will reset same day.

imo they totally should reset on release day (sorry scott)

but playing the first night vs people 2/3 the way thru a prestige is bullshit

Most got the game in the mail early from ordering at certain places. Others downloaded the game for xbox.

So no one is getting reset but people that have played ccan't participate in the Race to Commander thing. Also 2/3 through a prestige, there are already people who prestiged.

I am going right now to try and bribe a teenager at game stop.

Ran into lots of guys that prestiged already. I even ran into a guy that prestiged twice already. The update I got last night seemed to really help on the lag comp. unless you are host. If you are host on this game forget about trying to kill people takes like 20 bullets no lie.

I will give you guys a huge tip right off the bat. Use the mp7 or the mcms when you get it slap the suppressor on it and fire from the hip alot more kills that way. It takes forever to aim down the sights in this game. That fraction of a second you save by shooting from the hip you win almost every battle that you are shooting first on no matter what gun you are using say less they are using a sniper rifle or shotgun. The mp7 has a 40 round clip dont be afraid to spray that sucker laser sight helps for this as well. Assault rifles arent worth a shit in this game if you ask me. Always have the lock on launcher on constant uav and care package choppers to blow out of the sky for easy points and challenges. I would also run with lightweight so you can get behind cover faster or run faster to get to the objective faster and get the drop on people. I found this is the most dominant way to play right now and they people playin the last couple of days are great players I am sure you will be able to own the average player with this playstyle. I should see you at about midnight 30 eastern time. I was going to get the game tonight, then go to bed and just wake up early and play but I cant wait. I am stoked.

hip fire for the win!!! tmartin gave the mp7 the worst of the smgs. but missler did well with when I watched and u seemed to like it. might have to try it after all.

I did well against bots lol. Multiplayer is kicking my ass. I would stream but I dont want to embarrass myself lol. I hope the connection gets better. I do ok in hardcore but in core it seems like my BB gun against their SMG or Assault Rifle. I have been enjoying the bots more than multiplayer. Sometimes in hardcore I can fire 5 seconds before someone and then I get instakilled. Hope it gets better with more people as right now there are roughly 45000 people online.
