New BF3 x30x Server - Interest Thread

As more of us are migrating back to BF3 with the lag-tastic crap-fest that BO2 multiplayer has become, I wanted to see how many of you would be interested in pitching in for our own server? (I realize the 008 is up but would be nice to have full control for privates etc.)

Rates for the servers are:
1 DAY$1.49 (120 MSP)
7 DAYS$6.99 (560 MSP)
30 DAYS$24.99 (2000 MSP)
90 DAYS$59.99 (4800 MSP

I'm down to throw $10 bucks on it. Who else wants in? Vote in the poll

mav how paid up is the old 30 / 008 server?

how often do they use it for something dedicated? i think there are a few of us willing to pitch back in to play bf3

Mav i'll take an admin or we can start a new one... doesn't matter to me. Just figured there might be enough people playing BF3 again that we can afford our own 30 server.

They mainly use it for scrims that are scheduled in advance. But interested in BF from the BF side of things is fading fast. I'll check the status of the lease and let you guys know. Sure I can add you as an admin.

Its already out there and most of the 008 crew have moved on as BF is coming to end of its two year cycle and people are getting bored.

Can we add find Mav a job? I'll vote for that one, LOL

Ok, well someone let me know if we're gonna end up doing this.

Bestbuy has the premium edition of the game (that includes all 5 dlc packs - including End Game) for $60.

If we're going to have enough ppl to make this work, I'll gladly pick that up. Just let me know.

Oh were def doing it if the people who voted were being serious with their contributions! Hell, i'll pick up the difference... and I'll get it ready for this weekend if people gift me the M$ points before then.

I would go 90 days as more incentive to keep playing and their loss if the drop off the radar. Let me know how to gift the points, never have done that before.

I think they did away with gifting points due to some scams that went around in the past. You can just as easily purchase points / codes (online or retail chain) and just PM them to maverick that is what I did in the past.

Also Mav how do we find that server nowadays - what's it named? I removed it from my favorites a long time ago when I (mistakenly) got rid of the game.

Black I have it marked as a favorite. I believe it is Kompany 008 and I know it is hardly ever used as I usually check it out before joining other servers. I had put in for joining a squad but with little activity never heard back.
I think that keeping with the Kompany 008 server may make more sense for now as well especially since Mav was going to give a few admin rights.

We can do the same thing. Send the codes to me via PM and I'll get the lease renewed. I'll add admin's as we go along.

Why not make our own? I'm sure the 008 guys will be playing many more scrims etc when End Game comes out. If were going to put out cash i'd rather it be 30's only (ownership that is... anyone could play). Would be much easier being able to switch out server maps/rules/etc without having to make sure it's ok with the owners.

Or is there a reason/benefit to sharing a server that i'm unaware of? I don't know much about the pay for server system besides the basics.

That will work too. I would recommend only getting one month at a time to start. Interest in the game has dropped A LOT and those who remain will contain a lot of hard-core 100's that have been playing it for two years. It can be quite rage inducing.

Exactly my thought. Test it out with a month lease. What happens if they majorly update BO2 and its lag free and everyone migrates back over there or if End Game sucks (not possible lol). The one month seems like a smarter idea.

And playing constantly with level 100s and other pros will get old the first week! lol

I'm going to buy and set up a server for this Friday. Whoever's still down shoot me a PM.

lets get it going then...I'll dust off the server image and get it ready to up load. If you want to send me the codes I'll get her going and add you guys to the admin list.
