What are some of the perks of being a GameStop manager? How about brand new next-gen gaming consoles?
At launch, GameStop managers will receive a free PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to the retail chain, which confirmed the announcement in an email to PCMag. The company declined to say if it is purchasing the consoles or if Sony and Microsoft are providing them.
The PS4 managers' bundle will come with seven disc and digital games, including Killzone: Shadowfall, NBA 2K14, Madden, FIFA 14, Need for Speed: Rivals, and Battlefield 4, according to Joystiq. The final title — Beyond: Two Souls — is a PlayStation 3-only game, with no PS4 $517.96 at Walmart - Pre-Order version expected.

Must be nice.  I wish my employer would give me something that cool.

Those managers go through a lot of shit though. There was an AMA on reddit with one, and they were talking about how much crap they took from the company, and the demanding customers that come in. That job is a very thankless job, and I am glad I don't have to do it.

In today's world any retail job is a thankless job when you get down to it. I know, I worked retail for just over twenty years. Many great customers but also many that just expect more than reality and don't care how their actions effect the worker. I have always said and always will, it should be mandatory in life for everyone to work retail for at least 2-3 years so they can understand what retailers have to put up with.

Better yet....make everyone wait tables for a year or two.

I did it for 10 years. I will never go back to doing that...ever.

They should handle it like some other countries handle military service, but in High School rather than post. Make it mandatory to work retail for 2 hours a day from 16-18 in order to graduate. This would accomplish two things; one, they would be more sympathetic at a younger age and two, they would beg to go to 4 more years of school to avoid that in the future.

They say 9 out of 10 people hate the job they have..Im one of the 9(Asst.Manager @ a gas station) I hate my job but I do it everyday just to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads..andim thankful for tha...fucking gamestop managers
