Advice please on console ban

Ok iv been console banned forever from x box live which I believe is a Ip ban. Is there anyway around this as it was actually my Son who got the actual console ban but I am now affected too as they have banned our IP so my account is useless. Or am I now forced to go ps4.

Sounds like its time for someone to spend some time in his bedroom, ooppps. I hear there is a new PS4 hittin the market Nov. 15th. Lol.
Curious though, do they give you an explanation of the ban? If not I would try to contact them to find out why. Sounds as if some folk may have ganged up on your boy to get him/you banned.

Console bans are normally reserved for some serious shit...

Lots of people get banned for skirting the fee games M$ does in certain regions. There are usually free big title games available in small regions like Costa Rica, Oman etc. where if you're a Live member you can download this title free of charge.

Some figured out that all they have to do is make a fake account on their Xbox listing their area as the area that is currently doing the free game deal and download it then play it on their main account.

Well M$ caught wind a while ago and has been banning those who do it... not all.... but some.

No way around a console ban and the worse news is that they don't ban your IP at all. What gets banned is the xbox keyvault. Sadly for you if it was your son when they ban any console that connected through that IP gets banned also. Generally console bans are for RGH/Jtags that go online. Although there are other ways of getting them. Now for a Jtag/RGH xbox you can get a new keyvault but it isn't recpmmended to try and take an RGH/Jtag online.

RGH/Jtags run modified code basically. This is what many of you are seeing when you get in a modded lobby with weird shit going on. Also these people have to pay for an emulator service just to get on xbox live.

It's actually a MAC address ban on the Ethernet portion of the board. My son also caused my console to become a "brick". He was using 3rd party software, so I had no grounds to dispute them. It still makes helluva bluray player tho. Lol

Had a friend get a "The best deal ever!!" bought a xbox360 gen one 350gb hd for 40$ bucks...spent hours on the phone with comcast and xbox live come to find out he got a banned box..shit luck
