Guns and set up?

Hi me again..

As I have never played any MW games.
Whats the best thing to do?
Do I stay with one gun or switch between them all as I unlock them?

Well confussed by the set ups of the weapons too?

I think you should switch between them until you find the one that you like, or find a couple you like for different modes or maps. You will also get XP for say 10 kills and you can do that with each gun. Then when you find the gun you like level up the gun. Just my .02 cents.

The Scar is a gun I keep going back to. The G36 is another great gun. It is in the assult class but it feels more like a SMG, faster fire rate, and you have good mobility. PP90 is my fav SMG for Kill Confirm.

Just find what works for you and use it. You only have a year to figure out this game. LOL

I agree, unlocking and using everything has advantages, especially at the lower levels where a 250/500 xp bump helps. If you are the kind of gamer who can get 20 kills in a match then it is best to try one out for a game just to get the cheap XP IMHO.

I used to love the SCAR, but have not unlocked the G36 yet. Verdict still out for me on AR for now. Had decent game with the type 95 (shoots like the G11 form BO) but close range with lag I had a hard time.

PP90 silenced and rapid fire is great. P90 is also good as well since you don't need to reload as often. Run specialist and hardline and you are getting a free 4th perk on the first kill. Cycle through all perks and you are not only working towards perk completion, but getting extra bonuses.

Have not unlocked a LMG worth using IMHO. Still not quite to lvl 50 since I have not played in 2 days.

Suggestion, use the MK46 LMG and love it.

Life sucks in the AR world until u get the ACR!!! I wonder if that equipment unlock in the prestige shop works on guns. This would definitely be my unlock.

No way! We're givin one of the most awesome AR's from the start! I can't tell you how hard I've destroyed with the M41A for so long! Almost got me some gold camo with it. It's got a good mag, quick reload, laserbeam accuracy (esp w/kick) and a quick ADS time. It is set on my "tryhard" class just in case the gun I'm having fun with is getting me too raped

I meant that yes, the equipment unlock after prestige works on weapons, not that life sucks until you get the ACR.

I have 1 main class blind eye, asassin, stalker (pro if possible) ump with silencer/extended mags. Works on every map and game mode for me, add a stinger or the first launcher. For me all of the ARs just move too slow, and don't even think about the LMGs. The first bolt action sniper rifle is also good but don't think of putting a silencer on it inless you want two hit kills.

I unlocked the ACR (with a coin) as it seems to have more stopping power than the M4A1 and fires lasers.....The first machine pistol is a beast and way overpowered, I have been using the ump as a primary with that as the secondary on KC and I use the ACR on Dom and HC TDM as with a silencer is still does work.

whatever you want as primary, I run the UMP45 as the primary as of now with Range proficiency

does Range actually increase the range or just allow you to see the names at a further distance?

Also, who or what is the person/beast in Zamboni's sig? Am I missing a joke/meme?

Range increases the range, its not like the marksman perk.

Range should be the go to for SMG runners. Combine range with steady aim and I can hipfire people at almost AR range.

I ran SMG run and gun until I unlocked the ACR, and now I'm hooked on that.

Hipfiring with steady aim and range on an UMP45 is sick!! you can hipfire guys in windows above you!!

I am trying the anti projectile thing, but not preventing anything from hitting me...

Stalker Pro has heped a lot. Winning a lot of head to head gun battles since I can strafe so fast. I can ads from behind cover and then come out blazing and strafing faster than most guys can keep up.

I opened up the MK14 yesterday. I like it better than the FAL I think. Recoil is nice. Running it as a DOM secondary for defending.

I run a very similar KC class. The pp90 has the fastest rate of fire of the SMG's so I run suppressor and a red dot instead of the rapid fire.

I find that the specialist kill streak is nice for pro'ing perks, but I run UAV, CUAV, AUAV for support perks. Seem to get almost as many kills as with the specialist streak, but we win more games when UAV's are up and the team can direct in on the enemy.

I switched over to the ACR recently and wow do I love that gun. Just tried out Stalker yesterday and that is an amazing perk. You can move around and scope in so fast. Think this might be the element I needed to get to the next level of my game.

Plus stalker pro give delayed setting off bouncing bettys, claymores and imf. I almost never get killed by those things. Great perk in my book

I updated to Stalker Pro just before I left for work. Seems like a great combination of benefits on that one. Looking forward to some good rounds tonight.

Assassin Pro ( This perk is way too overpowered)
Steady Aim ( Really dont see the benefit in any other 3rd tier perks)

I cant ask for a better gun than the Scar. Still waiting for the AK and want to check out the FAD. Anyone wanna comment on the Fad?

AK has a ton of kick, I used it only briefly so I am sure once you put the proficiency on, it will tone it down some.....I used the fad briefly also and it had a bizaar feel to it. The ACR is my current AR of choice.

I then run around blazing form miles away and watch as I get killed by them... erm maybe I am doing something wrong here lol

I recommend trying out Marksman for a third perk. This perk is great. It pops up peoples name in red from crazy distances and even through some walls in buildings!! Unless they are running Assassin Pro. You would be amazed how easy it is to track people with this perk. I know the description sounds like it is a sniper only perk, but it is extremely useful with other weapons too.
