MODERN WARFARE 3′S NEW PLAY MODE

THE BUZZ: Activision has announced a new play mode for the Community Playlist, it’s calling Infection. The new play mode pits survivors against the infected with the goal of the survivors is to stay alive until the very end, and if turned into an infected, their goal changes to try and infect as many players as possible. Weapon selection is limited within this mode, with a rotating loadout in each round. The new play mode is available for both Xbox 360 and PS3 players with PC gamers getting it in the near future. I've seen people play this in private lobbies...something different can't hurt...

Awsome Ive played in live coms in private lobies this is crazy fun but hard if you start out infected

atleast you get a throwing knife alot of the ppl that do the private match just give you a knife and it gets old real quick

I've been invited to couple Infection games. The only thing that concerns me would be certain areas on a few maps, but a throwing knife would definitely help with that.

Woodysgamertag plays this all the time in his live feeds. As he likes to put it, the infected *always* wins.

Played a few rounds of it this morning. Pretty cool with the weapon rotation. Played a round on Dome...it MG46 vs Jugg. It's a nice break if you're frustrated with the normal modes or having a bad session.

It is a nice break for a few matches. My question is why did they have to remove drop zone? It seems like they could just keep adding game modes now and then without removing what they have done in the past.

I was going to try it last night but had a good win streak going, and wasn't sure how it caculates wins and losses. It seems like it could be a fun option over ground war. If we end up with 7+ in the same lobby. I havn't looked into it but I imagine you can start a round with a 6+ party.

From the matches I played yesterday...very rare to lose a game. I think I played maybe around 20 and only lost once or twice. Plus, as far as I can tell, you still complete challenges. Not sure about weapon xp but I know that throwing knife challenges are kept track of. Saw my wife get the ATM done(payback with a throwing knife).
