Elite Maps

Wait so XBOX elite premium members are getting a second set of new maps before we PS3 elite premium members even get the first maps?

That is correct Savvy as pathetic as it is.The Maps are "Overwatch" and "Blackbox".I might have to buy premium for XBOX if I'm planning on playing the maps this year.Thank you Activision and Microsoft for your great billion dollar deals.

Hence the reason I am pissed I bought into the hype and purchased elite. It was a gigantic waste of money for the Hardened edition of MW3. At this point I wouldn't have chosen to download the maps becuase I don't really play MW3 anymore, and elite has been a total let down on the clan operations side of the house. That 40 bucks would have been better used buying scratch it lottery tickets, buying grand slams at Denny's, or supporting my addiction of putting little holes in paper at long distances. Bah! There's a sucker born every minute and I guess it was my birthday that day.

wow, that is just ridiculous. we don't get our maps till the end of the month and that's just the first maps, so we'll probably get the second set in another month, crazy!

Will it ever end??? My wife and I were thinking about getting two premium elite accounts.....perhaps not. Though the sucker I am will probably do it anyway.

I am no stranger to this kind of stuff. This is how MMORPGs string you along. They show you this huge amount of content then don't deliver and constantly disappoint with the updates. I truly am hoping elite fails as an added service because of just this. I could not justify paying for things that I have not seen yet nor will I see for months to come just on the promise that I will get something. yeah, I am going to buy it, but I am also not going to get to choose whether or not I want it.

Come on PS3 guys, relax. This is effectively no different than in Black Ops when the 360 would get I believe 4 maps plus a zombie map and have that for a month before we did.

Microsoft paid $$$ for an exclusivity deal to Infinity Ward so that's what they get. We'll get this map on the PS3 probably around March 21st as it seems anything the 360 gets, PS3 will get 1 month later.

Cheer up though, I've heard this is the last game that Microsoft has that exclusivity agreement on though so perhaps for Black Ops 2 we'll all be on equal footing again.

The stupid thing about the elite clan operations BS is that by the time they get around to getting those going, the majority of us will already be at 10/80(if we're even still playing) so all that double XP will be effectively useless.

If it wasn't for getting the maps for free Elite would be a complete waste IMO. I don't even really log in to Elite any more. I got double XP from Elite, but did I really need it? No I would still almost be at 10-80 without it. I do like having the Clan List though so that I can play with some people that aren't on my friends list. I haven't done any lone wolf challanges or anything like that yet.

If Blacks Ops 2 has Elite will I buy it? Probably so just for the DLC. Plus by then it will be 1 year old and should work at least a little better in the beginning. Or at least I would hope. It's a lot more convenient for me to spend $99 for the Hardened Edition then it is for me to go out and buy PSN cards everytime that I want to download a DLC.
