New Map reviews

Not a big fan of how they are intoduced in a package that include KC, TDM, & DOM but I guess its no different than GW. I played KC on Piazza and DOM on Liberation. I really like Liberation as it has some long sight lines and the map is as large as Bakaara, great for sniping, javelins, etc.

To the point.

So is it long sightlines into the flags? Would smoke grenades now be a must on Liberation?

I'm guessing Liberation is a lot like Hazard in Blops? Smoke a must for the B flag caps? Snipers sitting back at a & c I presume?

No not necessarily, C has some long sight lines around it. Guess where I was??? Yep laying on the ground scoped towards it .

B is on a broken little bridge with a dried up river bed under it, I did not see any real good sight lines on B. The map is more circular than Hazard so its really not similar.

Hazard! Thought I had erased all memories of that map. lol So there are only two maps? Liberation and Piazza? One is for snipers and other for Shotties/dual FMGs? Great. lol

Piazza has LOTS of corner camping areas and different elevations

The Pizza map looks as though it was tossed together by a 3 yr old, tons of camping spots, IMO it's way too congested.

Liberation, a much better prepaired map, with a little of everything regardless of play styles, plent of open spaces but yet also some coverage. IMO very enjoyable map to play

So what is the overall opinion from everyone? Are they worth it? Those of us that don't have them...can we still play the other maps with you guys are should we get the new ones? Is it just the two maps for $15?? In BOps we got 3-4 for $15. Looking for a little insight before the investment...or maybe upgrading to Elite (don't really want to give IW too much money as I'm trying to buy a house).

I like the maps I dont like how the elite play group is set up. It does help with matchmaking alot but blops had it set up better with map packs intergrated.

If IW does only two maps for $15 I'll quick giving them money and make a permanent move to Battlefield. That would be a really shitty thing to do. I've played the new maps. really campy, but then they just came out.

They are nice because they are new, but like a bunch of guys said, this game is unplayable today! Complete garbage as usual! I went back to battlefield for the night.

Overwatch is included in the DLC coming out. So we are looking at 3 maps and probably some other piddly stuff for survival or the other game mode they included as an afterthought.

I might crack...I'm seriously considering getting Elite just so I can get the maps and play with you guys... Should I pull the trigger? Is it $50 US or flat $50 even in Canada? And any idea where I'd go to do it? And would Clan 2 get some bonus XP from it? Haven't fully made up my mind yet but ultimately it would work out cheaper....I never did by BOps maps (wasn't big into the zombie thing and just couldn't pull the trigger). I also have a $20 PSN card...would that be able to go to it?

The maps are alright. I think the $50 I paid will be worth it in the long run with much more DLC coming. If I remember correctly Overwatch drops around the end of March for PS3 premium elite members, April for non-premium.

I liked them both. Liberation is a very good map from my standpoint considering I snipe. Piazza is awesomeness with my Striker with range.

this may sound stupid but to get the maps you have to go in PSN Store and download them one at a time? the game update doesnt give them to you?

No. The update is different than that. They would never compress map data with game patches.

Go into the store and click on Add Ons. You'll find them there if you are Elite, and they download quickly...just a few minutes.

I actually liked the new maps. I DO NOT like the fact you can't choose the game mode. Got stuck playing TDM a few times, which, if you are out of practice, can be a pain in the ass because of the unpredictable spawns.

The maps are quite eye pleasings. Piazza is a labyrinth of tight corners and elevations with a few lines of sight. Have only played tdm and kc on it. Bring your fall camo to Liberation! I will need a sniper class for sure. Both maps are a good size too, and relatively square.

what was the update? more fixes to lag comp? lol
