I know if it was weapon double XP I would get 100 XP for a kill in DOM

Savvy... I don't think that Double Weapon XP would behave that way. My understanding is that your XP for kills doesn't go up, just the points for the weapon itself. So you should be able to get to gold camo twice as fast this weekend. The only side benefit I can see to this happening now is that it helps you get to that 10,000XP for weapon mastery faster than normal... so now's a good time to rank up lesser used guns, I guess.

I've never been sure how weapon XP worked. During regular double XP weekends, we would ge 100xp a kill, right? So that wouldn't apply now, since it's just double weapon XP?

right.... When you go to look at your individual weapons you see that points bar with levels, right? That is what is experiencing "Double XP". It was so much clearer in Blops with Xp for ranking up and COD points for buying guns and attachments and such.

I know the levels and stuff for the guns, but you never get a total for weapon XP for each gun at the end of each game right? Just your overall XP? So it's kind of hard to know how much XP you are getting for your guns each game.

So shooting down a chopper will give you 800 weapon xp? I should be able to get that gold M16 I always wanted!

Your weapons xp shows up in game summary .its a couple R1 click over .

But it does not show you what you gained in that game, just the overall XP of the level the weapon is on, its jacked up.

Dbl weapon XP for me equals guns I can't stand using. It does feel unsatisfying finishing a match and not having a clear idea how much you gained. I need some bells and whistles on the damn thing.
