Will you be getting the PS4 when it comes out or wait for price drop?

I'll just wait for a while and finish up all the games on the PS3 that I have in backlog as well as the games that I've got on my wishlist to pick up at a later time.

I'll also wait for a price drop. I just can't justify dropping $600 to $700 on a game machine. If I want to stay married that is.

I would love to say I can afford to buy a new gaming system, but I will probably have to hold off on both the new XBox 720 & PS4 when they are released.

With the rising costs of gaming systems, games, DLC's, etc. It is hard for me to justify spending that much money when I feel like I have so little time to play. I'll probably keep plugging along with what I have until they quit making games for it and decide what to do at that point.

Of course if I win the lottery, then screw it, every system and every game on Day One!!!

Depending on what the demand looks like, I plan to by at least 5 of them and sell all but one of them with enough profit to pay for my PS4.

I did that with the XBox 360 when it came out and ended up with enough profit to pay for my console, an extra controller, and 2 games. I did it with the PS3 and ended up with enough for my console, a game, someone traded a nice DSLR for the low-end model, and I made an additional $700 on top of all of that for selling 7 units on Craigslist.

If you have the upfront capital and the demand is high enough, you can make some money doing this. There are too many people who are unwilling or unable to wait in line and then the consoles sell out. Worst case scenario is that you don't sell them and so you end up having to return them and you staying in line with some friends for the night, just hanging out.

after watching woody's video on the xbox 720, i would like to wait to see which one has more apps and features. they seem like they will be very similiar , but i'll probably stick with xbox, i just can't use the PS controller.

I hear they are doing away with the DS controller with the next generation Playstation. If that rumor is true then I will consider the PS4 right alongside the Nextbox. If they stick with that controller designed for an 8 year old's hands and with the crappiest "triggers" in the history of a controller then they'll eliminate themselves from the start.

Once you go to the xbox controller.......going back to the DS is a pain in the ass....

It will all depend on what games are coming out with it since the rumor is that it isn't backward compatible. PS4 & Xbox will have to earn this purchase unless I pop a big commission check and feel like splashin' some cash (don't worry the stripper account will still be funded).

Ehhh would be nice... but most industry insiders believe it to be another iteration of the shitty DS with a min touch surface (like the back of the Vita) taking the place of the PS home select and start. Sound idiotic haha.

Not sure. So, I voted for the definite..."Boobies!". Though if the PS4 can magically fix lag...I may think about it.

Gotta say probably near the day 1. Would like to see a list of the games that will be avaliable at launch. Thats going to be the deciding factor in when that system is purchased for me.

Gotta say, I was going to wait for the price drop. I may use the Doamne01's strategy. Some good ideas posted here if there is crazy high demand. thx man

I plan on waiting for the price drop. Definitely not purchasing it during the initial launch. The current generation of consoles suits me just fine.
