BO2 Lag Comp Fix

First step..."Remove Router Firewall"

Obviously that dont want to shell out the $$$ to fix it and I wouldnt expect much in the short term since they already have everyones $$$.
They need to take some lessons from the Battlefield franchise and get on deicated servers.
I know thats were I will be playing and others should really try it out its a great game.

I love El Pres - I never seen him before though (I always thought he was an older black man! lol)

I think it's funny that they release instructions on "how to **FIX** lag comp" - why don't THEY just fix it or just turn lag comp off??

I can't believe this is their solution, but Activision has got my money now so the joke is on me.

I finally had a large chunk of time to play this weekend and it was horrible. The very, very few times the lag wasn't an issue the game was great..,but most of the time it felt like I was running with cinderblock flip-flops, or I was bumping into walls. At this point I'm kicking myself in the ass for buying the DLC and thinking the money may have been better spent on Battlefield.

I may get on just to look at the DLCs, so I don't feel it is a complete waste, but that being said...this is the last COD I'm buying. Anyone been playing MW3? And if so how is it running?

Do you run firewalls on your computer? If you run firewalls on your PCs and they are PROPERLY configured, disabling the router firewall is not that big of a deal. It is not an ideal situation, but how much do you want to play this game lag free?

Here is a good explanation i found while making sure I wasnt leading folks down a bad road:

If you are using a standard NAT, then the most important part of the router firewall is actually a side effect of NAT, and cannot be fully disabled. Well, you can put one computer on the DMZ, which disables it for that one computer. If you don't put a computer on the DMZ, then your systems are still protected by the router even with the router firewall disabled.

Here is the easiest fix....................DONT BUY THE NEXT RELEASE!!!!
Hurt their profits and they will listen but then again alot of people complain about sports ticket prices which keep going up but everyone keeps buying them too.
