cod ghost quick scoping

Call of Duty: Ghosts doing away with Quick Scoping Snipers, read this in an article after a Google search

I have heard this before so beleave it when I see it !

From all I've read this sounds awesome! The new marksman class is basically a FAL like class with semi auto rifles for quick engagements at mid range... While snipers are now true sniper rifles with even higher damage but increased sway and ADS time. Sounds like maps are designed to encourage this type of play with emphasis on sight lines and cover.

if this ends up stopping quick scoping... I'll def be picking up Ghosts!

It was reported by several youtubers that played ghosts at one of these conventions that QS'ing was very "different" but was "possible."

That is what they said anyway.

I can live with toned down quickscoping or even full on quickscoping as long as we get rid of lag switchers, host migration, crappy p2p connections and all the other crap associated with p2p.

My best guess is it will be more like Black Ops was.........the original......yes, you "can" quickscope but it was about 1/3 as effective as in MW2. I'm hoping this is the case anyway.

"different" is pretty honest and accurate. Very fast target acquisition and firing is still there, but the mechanisms surrounding functionality are both different and more realistic-ish. There will be people who will still be able to align the stars and work out a good QS of sorts, but there are other factors that promote the use of sniper rifles in more powerful, useful, and cool ways. I haven't touched a sniper rifle since early Battlefield days, but I'll run one on Ghosts for sure.
