Damn im frustrated....

I apologize for bitching but this game has me so fricken frustrated. I cant seem to get any kind of strategy figured out. My games have either been really good or beyond terrible with alot of them lately being the terrible version. Im pressing too much and being way too agressive. Seems like every corner i turn im face to face with 2 or more enemies as well as losing every 1v1 fight. Add that to the massive number of corner campers im finding and it makes my anger rise quickly. I havent had as much playtime as i want so im far behind on learning all the maps. This brings me to the other thing i hate about this game which is the party system. I know its been said already but its so damn messed up. I cant join a room and see if there is room and flame me if you want but i dont have the time or patience to wait for responses if i send a PM asking if there is room. I just want to play and make the best out of the few hours i have each day to play. Id have to say about 75% of my playtime so far is solo and that just sucks. I was so looking forward to this game and so far its been a huge let down. Hopefully there is better times ahead.

Hang in there Nixon! You disappeared from our lobby last night...I'd imagine you had the same problem I did the night before...lag...lag...lag. Seriously, I got my ass shot off in that ground war match...

Unfortunately, a lot of my playtime is also solo. Not because I'm too impatient (ok thats part of it), but because the lag is not as bad when connected to "local" lobbies. At least I think they are local.

The map design definitely doesn't help matters. In the past there were usually 2 or 3 routes into each part of a map. Now it's very tough because there is a lot of "verticality" not to mention every area seems to have 4 or 5 different ways in and out so it makes it nearly impossible to hold down a position.

I feel the frustration...also the maps are pretty small...I've noticed a ton of trouble getting care packages down...a UAV is up, I can see they're on the other side of the map, so I toss the grenade, by the time the CP drops somebody comes around the corner and blasts me...I've had a lot of CP's jacked in this game...

And I really feel you on the party system. I generally don't have a ton of time to play right now and waiting gets tough when I usually only have time for a few games...

Yes i agree every time i was in a party i got booted from some random reason. Also what is bad about the party system they did not give the option to make it open or private its pissing me off also..

I used to just join random clannies and get into a game but now i run just solo and it really sucks nobody has a mic and all the want are kills nothing else

I stopped running CP based off pure frustration with that same thing...

Dont apologize for being honest the game is flawed I have only played for about eight hours now and I think 3 hours have been spent in a lobby waiting. I was hoping for an improved game from black ops, but I got what I expected to get from IW junk.

Same here, and I understand completely if I'm muted by clannies! I try my hardest to just not bitch about this game, but am finding it impossible. Maybe 6 months from now, when they finally fix this steaming pile, I'll be able to enjoy and play without frustration.

I would mix in the cp decoy to make people think twice about stealing them. It is possible they noticed this when playtesting and added the decoy to keep cp's from falling out of use.

I very quickly noticed a change in domination maps. No longer are you spawned near A/C flags and running to the B flag in the middle. They definitely made this change on purpose. It has put me out of my routine and I have yet to decide if they ruined domination or I just need time to relearn how to play this mode.

Crazy and Death Threat I am right there with both of you, this game is very frustrating. Yesterday I had about a 2 hour run where I was doing really well and was winning a lot, then in one game the whole night went to hell and the lag got worse from then on. I try not to complain but it is just too damn hard not to so if ya mute me oh well, I probably deserve it.

The only really good thing that happened to me yesterday was I tried out the G36C.....and OMG does that gun rock!

On a side note, Kill Confirmed is the rich mans TDM and it SUCKS.

Well my positive outlook is beginning to dwindle. I just hope it gets fixed and we learn the maps

Yea I am there with you guys. I just can not get things going for me. I am always running into 2-3 guys. Every corner I come around I look no one there but then shot in the back. Just so many paths to cover. Maybe after a few weeks and I learn the maps better I will know where to go.

Lastnight LAG was terrible. I would be running in the open then lag and I would be face to a wall.

KC started out being my fav game but after yesterday I am back to good old Dom now if they would fix the Spawn points.

Care Packages that is another story. How F**king long does it take for a care package to drop. If you want a Care Package you have to find a spot to camp and wait forever for it to get there.

On a postive note. I love how capturing a flag, destroying a plane, or doing an objective gives you credit towards your Kill Streak.

So funny that you bring this up, until last night I only ran the support package and not kill streaks, well last night I put on killstreaks by mistake and was shocked when I capped a few flags and killed one guy then I had a UAV and a CP, we learn as we go I guess

I sincerly believe it's also the old girlfriend syndrome...I find myself still thinking I'm playing Blops. In this game I have to balance out slowing down and speeding up all at once

Agreed that doing something gives you a point toward killstreak. Shooting claymore? Goes toward KS. Destroying SAM? points toward KS.

I felt bad a couple of days ago when Nixon and Savvy were in my group and we played team defender. You guys clearly were not having fun and backed out.

I like KC a lot. In my mind this is what TDM should have always been. I will contiue to play this mode a great deal. I am using the PP90 rapid fire and silencer and the specialist KS (see Wodygamertag vids posted earlier) and am having a blast. Use dual scorps as a secondary and if they are close then they are done. I am winning a bunch of head to head shooting matches. When I lose it is due to not having reticle in right place when I come around corner. Sometimes I think this setup is broken. In the right hands (not mine) I bet you can tear it up.

Matchmaking is just a bummer. When I was on Thurs we were getting matches faster than on Wed, but the lag was clearly way worse. Is this the tradeoff? There was some bummer lag before the patch... now there is more. Since this game is faster the lag makes things worse.

I never used CP for this reason. Every time I called it in I ended up dying next to it. None for me in MW3. Too many other KS that are cool IMHO.

Hardline plus Specialist plus capping that first "free" flag = playing with 4 perks. Not too shabby.

I guess I'm pretty laid back with the issues. The matchmaking is better and hopefully the lag will get fixed soon. My only real gripe is the complete crap mics.

I'm enjoying discovering the LMG's that are usually crap in CoD games but several have the highest RoF and good damage and I'm already use to running slow thanks to sniper rifles.

I agree with Manic. Since I did not play MW2 and have only played BlOps I find that I run into a wall of death on these little maps where people can hide behind everything.

Last night my son got home from his military obligation and I watched him play MW3 for the first time (he was a big MW2 player) on his Xbox.

He was the hightest scorer on his team each game. But what I learned from watching him is that I need to stop and wait at certain points and advance slowly at other times.

I am used to running around capping flags in open territory and defending behind very little cover.

THere is way too much cover and hiding places. Since they are not going to change I will have to change my tactics.

Don't know about you guys but for me being older, this fast pace, hard to see the enemy, having to change classes on the fly, is very difficult for me.

When you are over 50 it is very hard to distinguish the enemy and the background.
It sux getting old.

Maybe I have to go back to playing things like AC, Infamous, etc.

I was having fun witht he HL, Specialist setup too. It is the fastest way to unlock HLP period. What I was not having fun with was the noticeable benefit to me playing alone vs. with the clan. Strictly due to lag I was getting owned by invisible enemies. I check left, run right, and get shot from left which I was 100% I verified as clear. Also bullet sponges taking me out with first bullet kills ala Black Ops. Needless to say my trade-off becomes trying to have a good time with you folks while getting my ass kick (and whining about it constantly), or running solo matches and performing like I feel I should be.

I agree with Winicott with everything he's sayin, after about 16 hrs of gameplay I think I finally found a couple of set ups that work for me. The set up is the same idea as woodygamertag but different, my perks are SOH, hard line, and sitrep. Then my specialist streaks are assassin, then scavenger, then blindeye. So after one kill I'm ghost. The PP90 is a beast cuz of its higher fire rate, it's awesome with a silencer. Instead of losing 1v1 around corners, double kills are a reality.

Honestly IMO, the best gun for medium to large maps is a silenced ACR. It sucks that it doesn't unlock until lvl 50, but it feels just like home after all that time using the Galil in blops. Reticle, fire rate, damage feels like a Galil. Finally mw3 finally feels fun, I'm learning the maps and found my gun.

I like KC alot too, there's some tricks I do that might seem cheap but is a blast and works like a charm. I camp dog tags! Everyone is running around like madmen, you can't camp one spot a whole game cuz you'll get run up on. But when I see a red tag I'll stop and wait for like 5 seconds for the guy to collect and bam easy kill! I wait another couple secs to see if he has a buddy if not and it's clear I run and collect.

Matchmaking sucks. I have yet to play with u guys, I either get into a party then get kicked or miss invites cuz I'm concentrating so hard on the game at hand that I don't see the top right corner of the screen.

I think this is key right here. I know I tend to get too focused on collecting the tag after a kill, then get popped as I'm going for it.

You should swap out SitRep for Stalker Pro. I'm personally finding SitRep is mainly used to spot Betties and Claymores but with Stalker Pro you just delay the explosion and run past them. You get the added benefit of a significant move speed bonus while ADS. SitRep is much less useful than in MW2. I'd also actually consider Steady Aim Pro as your main 3rd perk since you run the PP90. Make Stalker Pro your 2nd unlocked Specialist perk and ditch Blind Eye.

Assassin (Pro) should be everyones first perk from the Specialist setup so you can run Quick Draw Pro as your primary 2nd tier perk as 1 flag cap and you get it.

Ahh thanks Carl. I'll try stalker. Yeah I actually have 2 set ups with the pp90 class I use steady aim. On my ACR class I use sitrep, to reduce stupid deaths, with an AR I'm more calculated and don't like to rush around too much. I'm kinda wierd cuz im used to the aiming speed of an AR and if stalker kicks in mid fire fight it throws me off and I panic. Lol.

I wasn't sure what to do for the 3 specialist perk so I just threw in blind eye to again reduce stupid deaths. It kinda helped extend my longer killstreaks by not gettin targeted by stupid crap.

Cheap? Some may think so, however I've started to use the same strategy due to getting shot to quickly...from all sides. I'd say anyone who finds it cheap is running around like a madman. Much like Canis, I'm having a hard time playing rusher so I've just slowed it down a bit.
