Control Freeks, Scuf Controllers etc

Got some extra cash for x-mas and was thinking about giving these a shot to see how much better they are. I see there is quite a few models of both; does anyone have any experience with any of these or any suggestions?

I just got my 2nd Competition SCUF delivered yesterday. 2nd because they are SOOOO worth it. My first one, the thumb sticks are worn out (sloppy) and I plan on getting it tuned up by SCUF.

I also have an extra set of Kontrol Freaks laying around, somehow ended up with two. I can send you a set if you want.

SCUF will also modify any Microsoft controller you have. My wife gave me one for Christmas, not knowing I ordered a scuff if you are interested in that? I'll sell it cheap.

Yea I read that they will modify as well, I have a lot of controllers so I'm good there - I might place an order with them going to read some more about the different versions

Really theres only two versions. There's the two paddle and the four paddle. Everything else is completely cosmetic. And the two paddle is either wired or wireless. Four paddle is wired only.

other than the paddles on the back, what makes them so great. it's just a modded Microsoft controller

There are adjustable trigger stops so you don't have to depress the trigger finger all the way to fire. Very helpful with semi auto guns. Other than that, thats about it. paddles on the bottom so you dont have to take your thumb off the thumb stick and the trigger stops. Everything else on their website is over priced cosmetics. And I don't know who would spend the money on that stuff. cough yellow cough cough.

Yes, I sprung $6 for black out buttons...

i put trigger stops on my controller myself, i think i'll just save my money.

OK so after reading the posts on this thread and the sensative posts I think I'm sold on the kontrol freaks, so which ones is everyone using, I saw the descriptions on the website but wanted first hand knowledge. I'm more of a up close and personal rusher player.

I got the pack (pictured above) that had both the medium and tall heights. I went straight to the tall one and used it ever since. Takes a couple days to get use to but once your comfortable with it, it makes a huge difference. I only use one on the right thumbstick.

I was looking into getting cqc signature, I like that domed and shorter

i have the cqc, and they work pretty good, i just got a pair of the tall ones and run one on the right stick. a little better control, like slam said just gotta get used to them.

Do the certainmodles make a difference? Like elite, snpr, classic, etc or r they all same size

Other than the two height differences and the concave/dome tops, everything is just a matter of color and design embedded into the top.

Ok cool thanks, probably will go with a set of tall and short, i do like the domed better since i ps3 and thats what im used to, and can u pick this up at store or do u have to order them?
