can we get a new tournament going?

Hey guys, I was wondering, can we gat a new 3v3 tournament going? maybe add some flavor, 3v3 pistols only (like the old CS days) or something like that? Anyone interested in this?

I'd be down for 30's bracket tournament - be it team or 1v1

Ok, well then it's settled. So, I'll team with Migs & Gun (especially if we're doing pistol only)

I'd def be down for a 30v30 tourney (3v3, 4v4, 1v1 - any of those would be good)...add a little variety to a somewhat stale game.

^^^ I'm down for small 30v30 brackets... keep em 4 v 4 and below to allow for more teams

Being picked last is fun. I was always picked last, till I grew a foot over a summer and in 7th grade I was 6'2" of pissed off hormones; good I miss football

1st, this is a Great idea! I would love to do this. 2nd after my gallery debacle Will I do no think you have anything to worry about. I am sure I will be picked last. haha

We can do small rotating teams and useTeam Maker to assign new, completely random and un-biased teams. I just put in everyones name real quick to see some how it would work... thing is perfect for this! At the end of each tournament we can instantly regroup and go again instead of waiting for everyone to pick teams. You can also randomize and assign team names... they have some options filled in as examples too... like FUCKING DINOSAURS!

Here's a screenshot... the box with names is scrollable... thats why you dont see everyone... Migs... you got paired up with my alt-ego "fun fer hire", guys a dick.

I want to say I will play but first I want to know if this is preset classes like that snipers only BS or some kind of screwed up class like riot shield and hawks or can we really play. because I suck at all those crazy pre set classes. I need a gun.

I think it should be all guns, and either no scorestreaks or limited to UAV, CUAV, VSAT and EMP. I would rather not have this turn into Black's shooting gallery for the beasts to see how many Lodestars and swarms they can call in. No lethal streaks should keep the game a little more competitive for all skill levels.

I kind of like 3vs3 Hardpoint, it would force all six players to one area of the map and should keep it lively and interesting and make for a lot of gunplay.

I say each tournament has different rules... they'll go pretty damn quickly.

It would be cool.. run one tournament like blue said.. 3v3 hardpoint then 3v3 ctf then TDM snipers only etc. (or whatever the teams end up dividing into, 4 being max size) If there's 12 guys, 4 teams of 3 etc. we can run a 3v3 bracket over a weekend or so. And if we at some point get 20/30/40 guys in here we can do longer, larger teams and do a season.

Yes, good idea. I ran a tournament for my old clan where every week it was a different game type, doing pretty much everything from S&D Dom and CTF, both in core and HC modes. It was for fun but also a bit of a training exercise having to play so many different modes.

Well looks like we got enough interest to start? I'll throw up a team sign-up and bracket thread. I'll also start an Over30Clan group on Challonge.com so we can all create accounts and easily manage our games etc on there.

some are saying guns and some saying sniper only I need to know before I sign up if I can use real guns or not.

Baller.. just posted a Small-Team tornie thread... I personally say majority of games are just bare bones-ish games with no or low scorestreaks and teams of 3. Once some people put up ideas for the first gametype, rules etc we can vote.
