Woody, you are pretty new here, so I just wanted to say that this has been hashed and rehashed many times since each console's reveal and and E3 press conferences. I'm not going to link to any because a few discussions got quite heated and I think we've all decided to stop with the comparison threads or which is better, etc. If you really want, you can peruse the Archived topics to see what people think. If you want to know who's planning to get what, I think there are two threads now with roll-calls for who is getting what system.
I would say most people are taking a wait and see approach to see what the actual, final consoles will look like. Some are staying with their current systems (PS3-->PS4, Xbox360-->XB1), others are switching sides. Both systems look great, each has positives and negatives and I don't think you can go wrong with either one (or even just staying with the current-gen and waiting for a price drop!)
Is that enough of a non-answer? lol
