Sorry but you info so far has been nothing but fanboy fodder that later turned out to be wrong.
If it is wrong you must have an actual link this time?
Examples of where I was wrong? hUMA confirmed. VR confirmed. HDMI record confirmed.

| Here's a follow-up to a story last night reporting that Sony announced the Playstation 4 console will support video game capture devices such as the Hauppauge HD PVR2 and Elgato Game Capture Card. Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida provided additional details Thursday revealing that the feature will not be supported when the next-gen console launches in November.
The broadcast of Sony's Tokyo Game Show keynote speech was understandably done in Japanese but the translator appeared to stumble around the part of the speech announcing that the PS4 would support video capture devices.
Yoshida provided clarification on Twitter when he said, "We announced today that PS4 users will be able to capture their gameplay through HDMI output in the future. We'll update you when ready."

Just announced today so I don't know why the hate for Machinima.
How can you be wrong when you say, "Sony hasn't announced yet and needs to do so."
Anyway, it is good news for Sony. How it makes them better than MSFT is beyond me since they are the same.
lol The Sony DRM nonsense and this HDMI. Both wrong Never said that. Its great news for Sony. I don't recall saying Sony is better. I will say if you are a straight hc gamer Sony is the console for you this gen.

| Soooo...for the non techies in the clan - which console will have better online gaming experience? Like, with party functionality that works and greater chance of less laggy game-play?
I'm tech-interested in all of my entertainment center components (I don't consider my video game console as one of those components), however I'm not a gpu sort of guy. I don't really care about all of that stuff with my video game console - I just want a good experience when I play. That's all.
- I want the functionality I expect to work, to work, when I want it to work.
- I want to be able to play online multi-player games with CONSIDERABLY less lag than in the last generation (and I don't understand how this very issue seems to be overlooked in all of these comparison conversations). I don't think addressing the lag issue is too much to ask from a generation of consoles that is coming out nearly a decade after the last gen.
- I want to use it to play video games. Don't need it for tv viewing, movie rentals, online chatting - I just want to play video games on it...so I want it to do a damn good job of PLAYING VIDEO GAMES.
Am I asking too much? | |

| We're not likely to have much of a different online experience on either console. Online is as online does... until everyone gets stellar speedy connections we'll still have issues. I'm like you in that gameplay comes first (but i'm also a graphics geek lol) but as far as online is concerned... i don't believe the console manufacturers have much of an impact via their hardware or server plans. Dedicated servers will help a little... but there can still be lag and shit gameplay... you've played BF3 on dedicated servers on the 360 lol you've seen there are still times it can suck. There will be dedicated servers on both Sony and Microsoft's side but we'll have to wait and see what actually develops.
Either system will play great games... but the edge regarding frame-rate etc (read: smoothness, quicker response times) will go to Sony. I would just pick the console that offers the games you like. If you're not concerned with the exclusives or politics of either company... it's really a toss up. I know I'll be on PS4 but that's not a right or wrong decision.
