Making Riot Shield Work for You

Ran some Riot Shield last night. Fun but hard. Here are some things I noticed that may help. I am fully expecting some of the otehr riot shield guys to chime in with suggestions *cough Cought N8 cough*

Careful when moving with this thing. I had some 2 hit deaths and when I looked at the killcam (yes I got the award for most time watching killcams) the shield was only protecting 1/2 of me. Th shield treands left, meaning the right side is exposed. I found myself slightly strafing so the shield was leading (left shoulder).

Chasing a guy around a room trying to smash him has got to be one of the funniest things ever. You can almost hear him "Oh shit oh shit oh shit"

You can keep a guy off the flag with this thing. If he is messing with you then he can cap or defend.

You can cap a flag with this thing. No one will plink you from behind a wall with tap fire when wearing this thing. I advise Blast shield pro as well. Also pick up Nixon's ballistic armor...

Don't forget to duck, protect those toes, nothing worse then dying from getting shot in the feet. I always ran stun grenades, slows them down makes it easier to get that second bash in! Secondly, run Semtex not frags! Also perks similar to lightweight/marathon/blast shield work wonders as well. In MW2, C4 also worked excellent with riot shield. Basically, I've found the run, crouch, stun, bash, repeat process a good one.

I so wanna be part of a 300 spartan style phalanx and maybe having like 2 gunners behind killin shit. This would be sooooo awesome as a clan. Maybe start a Dom game like this to cap B. it could work well on that icey map Outpost where be is on that narrow path. Just line up tight and push forward. Maybe a gunner can watch our flank. PHALANX!!!

The melee perk when you reach level 5 weapon proficiency allows you to quickly recover from shield melee's faster and bash them with a quick 1-2. Most opponents are not expecting this as it is much faster than you could get with mw2.
