| Clan;
I feel bad not being able to communicate with the clan when we run together. Looking at getting a headset. What kind would you all recommend? Your assistance is greatly appreciated |

| get a full headset...the bluetooth doesn't provide great sound, and with the horrible chat this game provides it can be pretty bad.
That being said, I use the playstation brand wireless headset...you can get it at a store for $99...cheaper online if you shop around...that's a good price in the headset world. It has very nice sound...and good control over the sound. I'm real careful with it, but it seems to be real solidly built... |

| I've looked at the PS3 headsets and they look pretty good. Price isnt bad either. Have you used the Turtle Beach headset? |

| I have the wired TB PX21's They worked great in BlackOps... until they patch the mics in MW3 you might as well use a tin can and string.
Seriously, though, a headset is a must for clan games. Part of what makes us so formidable is our ability and willingness to communicate. |

| There's lots of headset threads... a lot of people like mic monitoring where you can hear your own voice, and then whether you want a wired headset or wireless. A lot of it depends on your price range, there are so many nice headsets, I think the brands most people use are:
Turtle Beach Tritton Astro and the PS3 headset that recently came out for the PS3 folks. |

| Rick, played a couple matches with you today and it was nice to have you on the squad. I also use the Turtle Beach px21's and I recommend them, despite what others have said about them being fragile. A headset will definitely improve your experience with the clan. Even though the chat blows in MW3 there are time when it is halfway decent. Good thing to ask Santa for. See you on the battlefield! |

| i have had my px21s since MW2, no problems.....knock on wood.....i highly recommend them and only $80 where a ps3 bluetooth headset is $50 and you can only hear the chat and not the game sound, i hate to admit it but i do "sound whore" quite a bit and these seem to do the job for the money, you can buy more expensive ones with surround sound, etc, but these work well for me
good luck |

| Yesterday for kicks I reset my theater to play through surround sound vs. surround headset and the difference is amazing, I am SO much better with the surround sound vs. the headset as far as gameplay goes (obviously not for strategy)... you can hear much more where gunshots, steps, reloads, etc are coming from, ie: rear right, etc...
If MW3 wasnt such a "noisy" game I would consider going back to this, but theres usually so much air support, random explosions, and nature noises that you cant always hear that well anyway |

| The triton ax720 is the best in my opinion if you don't mind wired |

| I have had the Turtle Beach P11s since around August. They are wired. I haven't had any problems, and I'm satisfied with the sound. |
