| This is not reassuring! Prestige Calculator 67.2 years for Prestige 3 / Level 1 That is what shows on my profile in Elite...I guess I need to play more. |

| Can't you just put in your Prestige level + current level and divide into the number of hours played to get how many hours each prestige is taking on average?
In other words; I am prestige 7 level 30. Level 30 = 0.375 (out of 80 levels)
So if I take my current hours played and divide by 7.375 it should give me an average of each prestige.
Each prestige is going to be different according to the weapons and strategy you use, but at least you have an average to go by.
The Elite website calculator has always been worthless.
I have been tracking it this way and it is pretty close.
My first two prestiges were longer than than the last two, so if I throw out my first two I actually have a much better figure to work with.
Right now, I am averaging 24 hours of play time for each prestige.
The "DAYS" are useless on the website calculator because the number of hours played each day vary for me.
But, if I play 4 hours (on average) a day I can figure on prestiging in about 6 days.
Last prestige took a little longer because I started messing with the XM25 towards the end.

| Canis, the only problem is the higher levels take more XP (and thus longer) to complete. | |

| Don't look at the calculator on Elite from a PC, look at it from your console it is much more accurate. |

| True Walldog, which I guess the closer estimate is to use the formula someone posted on which level is what percentage of the prestige.
So if level 30 is really only 20% you would make it 7.20 in my example above.
So you are right, it is more correct to factor that into the formula.
But either way, my way of calculating is much closer than the website's.
If you take the hours when you hit the prestige button there is little math to do. Simply divide the hours by the prestige level and you will find out how many hours (on average) it takes you to prestige.
I understand there are other factors involved that neither the website nor any calculator can figure into the equation. Such as; how much time spent with randoms, trying new weapons, going for different challenges.
