Getting the handle of cloaking is definitely what takes some time to get used to but I tend to wait until I am in close to someone so I can sneak up and also have found out the hard way that uncloaking prior to shooting is best. Now I just have to get the controls set so I can power jump while running. For what every reason being left handed is always a handy cap in shooter games.

I've been messing around with this as well, and I've had a couple of bugs.
1) Someone will use a heavy machine gun near me and then the sound never stops. I'll be running around with the constant drone of heavy gun fire even when there is nobody firing nearby.
2) I get the odd unintended panic knife. I'll be cloaked, get the drop on some guy aim for the headshot, pull the trigger, and watch my arms flail into the air. It's bizarre, and pisses me off. I know sometimes you flinch and press the stick, but I've had this happen enough times now that I'm sure it's not me. Maybe my controller is messed up, but I doubt it, as it doesn't happen in CoD.

I'm actually looking forward to branching out from BO2 for a while. I've realized that I'm frustrated more often than I'm having fun with that damn game.
At least with BF3 & Crysis - I'll have no expectations b/c I'm so new to both. I EXPECT to do well in CoD with all the hours I've got in that franchise.

And the great thing about BF3 is dedicated servers and none of that shitty lag and lag comp! You'll hit a lag spike randomly once in a blue moon but it's over quickly and not anywhere near as bad as the average lag going on in BO2 now.
Crysis is great b/c it takes longer to kill people, eliminating the impact that the lag has on "he saw me b/f i turned the corner" kills.

Watching that video I want to know how they stayed cloaked for so long? Or was the time deceiving?

Thats showing Hunter mode. The two players who begin the match as hunter are permanently cloaked - rest are cell soldiers. As a survivor your job is to hide and run away and you get points for the longer you survive. When you get killed by a hunter you respawn as a hunter until all cell are dead.

I wasnt a huge fan of the hunter mode. I was the last CELL survivor in one round so I started as the hunter the next round - i never saw a single CELL guy the entire time i was a hunter.

FYI.....the retail release has a playlist called Cell vs. Rebel. This contains TDM, Deathmatch (FFA), Crashsite (Hardpoint), Spears (Domination), Capture the Relay (CTF) and Exctaction and they are all played without the Nanosuit. If the cloak and armor stuff gives you a hard time in this game then this playlist might be attractive. Since the Nanosuit is pretty core to this game it seems like the developers put this in as a welcome mat to those coming over from CoD.

I found that my main problem with the game was the awful mini map, no hit detection and the visuals being a little to "thrown all the textures we can at it!" Too much vegetation and debris (i know the regrown NYC biodome thing) etc made it difficult for me to spot people etc. I won't be buying it; but i did enjoy my brief time playing the demo.

I am going to rent it first because I want to check out the campaign and the 10 other MP maps. I got used to the HUD once I got more time on the maps and the hitmarkers, while not great, were understandable with time. I put in 10+ hours in the demo to get a better understanding of what I was doing. If some of the glitches have been addressed i will most likely buy it

You will need an online pass to play online though.
