Is 3D worth it on BO2?

Bonus time is coming up very soon. Yay. Am thinking about updating my TV to a larger one and possibly going 3D and am wondering how the gaming is on BO2 for 3D. The 3D part of BO2 is one of the things leaning me to the 3D, but if it sucks or just not that good, I will probably wait.

Any feedback on the 3D in the game, or if you happen to have experience with this TV, even better.

That's not a bad deal at all.

I have an older sony bravia with the tru motion and that shit rock's, i still get impressed with the picture quality on the tru motion's.

My buddy svtgod has the 3D and the dual screen and iv'e played with him on the dual screen using his passive home made glasses, not a bad experience in all but a little ghosting and quality issue's.

Don't actually think i tried the 3D tho so yeah...........

I would assume that any picture manipulation will create additional display lag on top of the game lag already experienced.
This is my logical thinking. I don't have any experience with this tho. I would love to be wrong on all accounts so if anybody's got any tech info to share. please do.

just a fyi since tv's typically advertise response time in hz and monitors in milliseconds you can simply 1 / hz * 1000

so 1 divided by 120 * 1000 gets you roughly 8ms response time which is pretty good for a television

keep in mind that's an advertised theoretical - also LG is one of the top brands right now that thing has rave reviews everywhere

regarding 3d thats a personal preference - imo it always was and will be a fad

I have play On a Panasonic 3d tv Its prety good some ghosting but be warned for me if I play for long it bothers my eyes and then I get a headack so don't do it anymore !

I am on the fence. Wish I could bring in my BO2 game into BJs and get it connected to a PS3 and test it out, but that is not going to happen. Will have to make the decision in March.

I play on an LG 42" LED 3D tv I love the affect it has on everything and how the red dot on the sight just seems to float. I will only mess around with it in the 3D mode as I have found that playing multiplayer with it turned on causes my gameplay to drop and I can only put it down to what looks like lag from the 3D mode. I also think that in the last patch they improved the 3D mode a little as well. Playing for a long period of time will affect everyone in diffent ways I have played multiplayer for 4 hours before in 3D and not had any side affects.
Saying that I now only play in normal mode and leave the 3D to films and tv programmes and playing games off line.
If someone was to ask me if it was worth buying a 3D tv I would say yes every time but it would be up to them as to how they use it.
As we all know opinions are like ass holes everyone's got one.
