A couple of complaints...

First off, I want to apologize for backing out the other night in your lobby OB! I was 3-22 (dont give two shits about KDR), and I also know I probably bitched about every death that match. One thing I do know is that I said I was leaving, keep in mind, this was before I knew that stupid patch fucked up everyones mic volume, maybe nobody heard any of what I said.

oh, and I personally love to hear in game commentary such as "what are you doing up there, there is no flag up there", "go play TDM", or "get off my B flag" or the new one "got ya".....just gives me a smile each and every time.

Ironically the only times I have rage quit was because I was hearing nothing but play by play complaining.

I approve of this thread, it just bums me out because this has been brought up over and over again. It probably will never change. Such are the perils of having 8,000,000 people playing a game together.

I think OB's got some legitimate points and for sure we should all strive to be good teammates and clanmates.

1) Regarding rage quitting, it looks like his main issue is when people quit and not tell the rest of the group. I generally think its courteous to ask if anyone else wants to quit the game if it's going particularly bad. Usually, if no one pipes up, I'll grin and bear it and wait out the mid-game momentum shift. Other times, I'll leave it up to the party leader to pull everyone out if multiple people want out.

Last night, one of our first games, I think our top players were barely even and us bottom feeders were around .50 or less. I started 2-12 I think and could have rage quit, but we stuck it out and got the win fairly handily by about 50. It was a tough win for all of us (well, except hoffy apparently lol), but rewarding. I think they came back to the lobby calling us campers and all that and we kicked their butts again the next game too. Anyway, I digress.

My point is, sometimes, it pays to stick it out. Not every game will be a 20-6 cake walk. Sometimes, you will get beat - perhaps legitimately, perhaps not. Either way, if you want to leave, ask the team if anyone else wants to go and leave as a group. Added benefit: you can piss off more people on the other team when everyone goes all at once.

2) Complaining about complaints. haha... love it. Actually some good points about comms in general. The more OTHER talk is going on, the less GAME talk is going on. I try not to be a complainer in general, but I know for others it's theraputic, so I'm ok with it. I just tune them out. I don't think I;ve ever had to actually mute a clannie though. That's a bit much. But the more we try to stick to the game and give helpful call outs, the better it is for everyone.

For instance, as I've told people before, I try to announce that I'm taking down a heli or UAV. Not because I'm trying to "claim" it, but to keep others from needlessly pulling out their stingers and wasting time looking in the sky for something that is already in my crosshairs. Stuff like that is helpful and I appreciate it when other recip to me.

3) Snipers are fine, as long as you are jumping on flags with me.

I have definitely been guilty of more than my fair share of cursing and complaining here lately. I think that OB was a witness to that either last night or the night before. I'm used to stringing 15-20 kills (on a MOAB streak) together at a time at least once in every other game. With the connection here lately I can't even get a FN predator missile without hardline on. It's pissing me off because I know that I'm a decent player.

My PP90 that is usually like a dick on viagra is now just a sac with no hint of a penis. I get hit markers after hit markers and die alot more than I kill people. My 40 to 60 kill games have turned into 20-25 kill games with double the amounts of deaths. I actually went like 23-50 2 times last night.

When the hit detection goes to shit I try every gun in the bag and usally end up with a sniper in my hands for the 1 shot kills. Apparently emptying the full mag of a pp90 does nothing now.

I am guilty of all mentioned above and it seems that it only gets worse as the connections stays shitty.

I too have muted some people because of the constant complaining and cussing on occasions. Now I am probably one of the ones getting muted by everyone.

My only compaint is fellow clannies who join for the other team mid game, blow my ass up with C4, then post a video on the forum so that everybody thinks I'm the bitch of the man love relationship...

@walldoggy...I believe we were all negative on that first game...we barely pulled out the win at the end...it was awesome

@stream...we haven't played much lately but you're still able to quote me "there ain't no flag up there" is a fireman classic and lately i've been feeling sassy throwing out the "got ya bitch"...makes me feel good

@savvy...if you mute yourself I would be greatly disappointed...

@OB and everyone really...tasteful post with some good points/arguments, I think everybody has done well not to get out of line or be too personal...my personal opinion is simple, be respectful of your clanmates and have fun...follow those simple rules and everything should take care of itself...

This thread kind of symbolizes why I got rid of MW3 last night. NOTE : I did not get rid of MW3 though for what I'm about to post though. I just don't get enjoyment anymore going 14-12, spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, maybe a kill streak etc etc.

I can live with Savvy's BO rage quitting and Stream's MW3 bitching about his connection to be honest. It's been a while since I was even on MW3 and I realize I don't miss the game.

I play games for fun and the enjoyment with all of you on the mics. Bottom line is that all the complaints about fellow clannies doing whatever (swear/rage etc) are a function of the game.

I agree with OB's original posts and I took some posters like Vegas, Savvy, FBD taking it personally. Sure some of it is probably aimed at them but we are all human.

I guess I live in a rainbow candy land where the sun always shines and I keep company with 4 latin super models and 2 porn stars for when I feel dirty.

I don't want a game to break up the family or hurt feelings and right now that's what I feel we have.

People just don't seem to be having FUN anymore. There is truthfully too much to complain about. My connection isn't great so I'm sometimes a tiny fraction behind, my reflexes aren't Godlike and I mess around with too many shitty loadouts.

I'm 100% in for Black Ops 2 (or whatever it will be called) and I'm always on BO, even some MW2, BF3 and GCI but I'll understand if anyone deletes me to make room for MW3 clannies but I won't be deleting anyone from my friends list.

By the way, this isn't some suicide clan note. I just don't have MW3 anymore.

Kinda sad we're talking about BO2 already. I've been off MW3 for a few nights playing Red Dead Redemption again all by my lonesome. Needed a minibreak. Some threads, including this one, made me realize that sometimes I'm not having fun, just trying to grind out levels, which is just plain insane. Rather not bring misery to those having fun.

I won't go so far as to sell it, because I blindly invested in the Hardened edition, but I'll be playing much more sporadically, sprinkling in some other games that I've neglected.
I'll keep trolling these boards for reports of improvement, but my faith in IW is low.

I disagree that nobody is having fun...for the most part I think we're having fun it's just that people are more vocal about the bad times than the good...

Improvements...they've been slow coming...but matchmaking seemed to be better for our group of 6 last night...

@Carl, glad it's not a suicide note. Can't let Beiberman get away.

@FBD, you need to stay up and play with us Late Night WC. I know its 3 hours later for you, but well worth it.

I wish I could stay up later...need to be in the office by 8, and the 6 hours of sleep thing is not working out for me...

late night is way fun...but it makes my coffee consumption go way up as I study the next day...we also have a good time on the day time wrecking crew

Yeah, my wife actually manages my real estate company. But that job is not glamorous because she has to deal with a 1 year old red-headed terror and a half-day Kindergartener. I still have my day job as advertising guru for a broadcasting company. Hopefully I can jump that ship in a few years if I can keep acquiring props at this pace.

Friday nights we watch movies as a family, so no games, but I can usually play on Saturday nights if we don't go out and I come home hammered Perhaps we'll catch up then.

IM gald that everyone is discussing this calmly and maturely. By no means am I trying to change anyone nor do I want a place thats so sterile that we forget while were here. for fun.

I just finished a couple dozen games with a bunch of you and to be honest, they were some of the most enjoyable games i've ever payed with the clan. We did well. dominated most of the games but had a few nail biters that we pulled out in the end but the banter was hysterical.

omg i have to apologize for the amount of bitching i do but can you really blame me? lol 1 and 2 bar connections non stop - 1, 2 even 3 second beads open blasting mf'ers to turn around and die with no shots fired in the killcam

rage quitting i havent really seen a lot of that - if you're that upset id have a lot more respect for you if you said "ya know what? fuck this shit i need a break later!" vs no heads up whatsoever

load outs i could care what you're running but i think its obvious we dont need say 5 snipers or no one running any anti air - yes you may hate that role but ya know what it benefits the team as a whole and shit we're all adults here take turns with various roles - hell i like switching my play style up - its the best way to be a better gamer - 1 trick pony wont get you far imo

overall bitching, raging, etc i still love this place

Although I haven't been around here very long and I haven't played with a ton of 30s either...something has happened to me with this game. I come on the forums on and off through out the day and read posts. Reading about it gets me thinking I'll play when I get home from work. But then after dinner, baths, bedtime etc. Then thinking about what the game will be like when I get ready to play, most times lately it turns into not really in the mood. I still enjoy the site. Maybe BO2 will different? Or maybe I'm just not into FPS anymore? Who knows?....

It's kind of ironic because my first FPS was MW2 and I was horrible. Black Ops came along, I improved a little..


MW3 has given me my first positive k/d...you would think I'd be all about it and playing it constantly. At the end of the day the game just doesn't interest me right now.

Just wanted to put that out there so the few I have played with know why I haven't been on lately.

What are you talking about black? You dont bitch lol i have to agree with you guys that the rage mic shit has to stop, it gets on my nerves and i dont do it so why should anybody else?

As far as sniping goes i pray to at least have one good sniper on my team at all times! If you kill one person with a sniper than the whole team is gonna try and hunt you down for payback and forget about the flags lol

I say rage if you want to, yell like you mean it, snipe just for the fuck of it, and lets all just have a good time! I rage quit( always after the games over) i talk shit, i yell and rage mic, play stupid songs that the whole team can hear and am just an all around drunk mess sometimes lol i have fun, i love this clan, and if someone doesent like your ranting or whatever my door is always open to everyone!

I forgot to mention - if you want to try and be proactive vs reactive on the rage mic situation try and reassure the team.

Last night delta, myself, kane, and a few others we started to crawl down that rage mic path and I decided to try and focus on enemy locations and reassure the team we got this and ya know what we ended up pulling off a clutch win.

I have another idea - how bout we switch game types? The above scenario we were playing drop zone and holy shit did we have a blast. delta and i are offically the "riot shield bros." lol

life is too short to worry about petty shit instead of just ignoring or not playing with those who erk you try and encourage team play - thats what this is all about anyhow right - camaraderie!
