After a long deliberation and board review you have officially been accepted to the Battlefield Over30Clan PS3 Platoon and as some of our more lame members would say "see you on the Battlefield".

walldog, sith, kamea, suicidal, darksoul, freak, and myself all on last night. Late night. I only wish I hadn't been wiped out from my order over, I would have stayed longer. I hope walldog is making a smooth transition and liking the game.

Yeah, as you can I see I now have one. Does it update in real time? I would think so since it's pulling from the server?

I think BF3 Stats will update once every 24 hours unless you go to the site and click the update button on your profile.

You will suck for a while. You just have to put in some quality time in to get used to the maps, spawns, guns, etc. Were you good at COD right off the bat? Oh wait your still not good.........J/K. Just give it some time, ask anyone it is real frustrating at first then all of a sudden it clicks. And you start getting good scores and having a lot of fun.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Freak. My overall suckiness was confirmed yesterday when Nelconey, who used to have the 2nd worst K/D next to mine is suddenly a beast at like .86 or something and I'm still down here at .64.

And remember, when MW3 came out, I hated it so bad that I returned the game and didn't play it for a month. Just Black Ops for a while before I relented and got it again. Will I be returning BF3? lol

Also, I think I'm gonna stop doing Engineer and be a Sniper. Or Assault. No more repairing for me.

More points doing assault reviving people any ways, and recon is fun also. I like sniping in this game a lot!

Assault is a good way to score points. plus you can find a spot throw out a med pack and heal yourself. Plus the revives help score.

And besides we have enough guy running around as engineers. Need more recons with spawn becons and soflams, and assault reviving guys.

tru dat. The more soflams the better for the tankers and javelin toting engineers. Its amazing when you post up a soflam on a hillside and let it autonomously scan the battlefield painting targets. If you don't know, you don't have to stand right next to it for it to work. I usually place it so its at 90 degrees to the main approach out of their spawn so they don't see the laser, run back into the fray, and then find a quiet corner and pull out the uplink to the SOFLAM to laze targets when I hear a team member ask if someone can laze. It works well, I just don' run recon enough to support the tactic 100% of the time.

Chill walldog. It is OK. This game takes some time to get used to. Give yourself some time to learn how the game works. The recoil is crazy. Played BO last night and marveled at how there is no recoil at all on any gun. Laying on the trigger in BF3 means the gun climbs and weaves all over the place.

Engineer weapons have lower power than the assault weapons. You may have better luck with the assault class since they tend to kill faster. Assault has the heal pack so if you get into trouble duck behind something and throw yourself some heal.

Agreed more SOFLAM. When it is all clicking there are multiple Javelins chasing down the same target once the lase is in effect.

Last night on Gulf of Oman there were some many javelins flying thru the air. A target would get lazed and 3 javelins would be up in a matter of seconds. I almost felt like I was wasting them becuase I would lock on and launch and then watch the race between my missle and everyone elses to see who would hit the target first.

LOL...I felt the same about that. I felt like I was getting robbed out of kills....great win for the team though.

Not giving up. Just haven't had much time to play it. Maybe this weekend when more people are on.
