your worst RAGE moments in gaming

So I'm not proud of this, but some of you will find it hilarious. Back when Black Ops was the game to play I was pretty good. Once I got past not having the Stopping Power perk I brought my K/D up from a .88 to my last 35,000 kills averaging a 2.65 (I have like 700 some gunships lol). So on TWO occasions I raged so hard that I threw my controller on the ground and broke them. One was a basic wireless controller and the other was the wired official Black Ops controller (which i recommend to everyone because it has a button on the bottom of the controller that you can set to to replace other buttons, meaning you could set it to mimic the A button allowing you to jump around corners without having to take your thumb off the joystick).

After the 2nd incident, and realigning myself to play for the win rather than my K/D, I haven't raged too hard but still may shutdown mid-game when I'm pissed.

See road to gold lol... getting that PoS model to damage was my most rage filled gameing yet. I have never broken anything but did rage quit mid game a couple times, and i never did that before. I would always wait till the game was over.

BAck in the NES days, I chucked a controller thru the drop ceiling tile in my parents basement. I creatively patched it with some spackle and even mimicked the hole patterns with a toothpick...very artistic. Painted it white and they NEVER noticed!

Now that I know better I could have just bought a new one for like $3.

My came from the nes as well. Every day after school for about a month I would come home and try to beat Mike tyson. I neverbeat him. I picked up another nintendo around the late 90's and still couldent beat him. Hardest booss of all time hands down.

I used to rage at Castlevania, not because it was hard, but because it would almost ALWAYS freeze at the grim reaper boss fight!!!! Arghh!!!!

Megaman used to make me rage like a bitch. I really hate having to play the same section of a game over and over and over to get past a spot. Broke many a controler in my day. U know what fixes that? Having to replace the controllers with ur own money at $50+ a pop. Having broken a controller since PS one came out.

Well at Goods request i will post. Two days ago was my worst rage ever, broke my mw3 controller by throwing it at a wall and i broke my x12s by well trowing them. And all of this was cuz of mw3, just got pissed at all the bull shit camping bitches! Nothings worse than haveing a team trip capped but your still haveing to shoot shit down and go 10-30! Oh well go some Triton AX720s out of it so im happy now lol

when my wife was up visiting her parents, i flipped out and grabbed this shitty old coffee table down by the PS3. Just couldnt' take the lag anymore and i grabbed this table in a furious rage and whipped it over my head and threw it across the room. However, one of the legs put a long gash on the ceiling when I overhanded it. I went to Home Depot the next day and got a patch and spackle. You can't see it unelss you're looking for it, lol. She's none the wiser.

I've also re-enacted the scene from Casino where Nicky Santoro gets batted to death, with my Body Opponent Bag (BOB) playing the role of Nicky. Put the controller down, grab the baseball bat, and stride over to Bob, LOL. If he could talk he'd say "GET ME THE FUCK OUTTA HERE! PLEASE!!"

Raging... Wow there is a thread for me.... Ummmm when don't I rage? I rage at gaming I rage at life... I think I should take it easy for awhile my 5th grade teacher Mr. Wilson told me if I didn't stop with the raging I would get an ulcer by the time I turned 20 well I didn't get one then but I think I might be developing one now so I need to take some time to chill out.... Oh you mean that I am suppose to share the stories about raging in a game. Sorry got side tracked there. My most expensive rage cost me $1100.00 I broke my 2 week old 42" Plasma TV originally cost me $600.00 but they stopped selling them when I went to replace it. I threw a controller at it after a loss on Madden 09 I no longer play madden and I still have the TV it's in my attic collecting dust as a reminder of my own stupidity.

Hardest Game Ever. I had a better chance of beating ET for atari or Batman for super NES (two infamously broken games).

The very first encounter with more than 1 enemy took me NINE tries, and then, WHILE feeling the single moment of satisfaction I experienced in that game, I fell off a #^@*ing CLIFF! Guess who got to go back to the beginning again.

Guess what got taken back to gamestop that same week.

I've NEVER had a game shorter than that. Hell, I kept MW3 for 4 months.

I've broken 3 PS3 controllers so far from throwing them everytime I get pissed at MW3 whether it be the fucking lag, pussy campers or hit markers.

Tritton 720's not too shabby they will hold up better than any turtle beaches I know from experience. I broke my turtle beaches and I did not even rage on them I just was adjusting them and I was handling them with kid gloves because if wifey saw that I raged with them they would have been the last set I was to get. I have slammed my trittons on the ground and they just took it. however they needed to have the white outside piece snapped back into place.

Not a gaming moment, but I used to have weird superstitions regarding watching Eagles games. I had 3 McNabb bobble heads each with a different color Jersey. I would place the corresponding bobble head on top of the TV while watching the away games and it had a very good success ratio...one game I finally had enough of him throwing it at receiver's feet and I took said bobblehead out back for a beat down...I grabbed one of my baseball bats (an expensive one at that) and proceeded to toss the bobble in the air and swing for the fences...

Well, I hit it alright. The head snapped off and went flying thru a window on my garage. The body shattered into several sharp chunks, one of which put a nice cut on my foot. And to top it all off, I put a beautiful dent and gouge in my $300 bat. Mrs. FBD was not amused at any of it.

Thank God I didn't have any kids to witness it back then.

yeah online poker is probably worse than MW3, I agree Hoffy. I quite playing years ago, I think it was when I was playing a guy who kept betting $69 every single hand, and when I did get in on that pot I lost to him every time. BTW, this was real money.

People being trolls with real money, I said "F this" and haven't been back to online gambling since.

Reminds me of the guy who raced me in a Nissan Juke when I was trying to get over a lane. What's the point of this dumbassery? I just hit the brakes and went on with my life, LOL.

I almost posted an online poker response last night as well. Was sitting at $30/$60 LHE table. Had been a long weekend and I felt like playing as high stakes as I could for a boom or bust. Was trying to hit a few hands and cash out. Long story short about 10 hands in I had quad 5s lost to running jacks to complete his quads. We were 3 handed, all streets capped all 3 went to show down. Was not a bad beat table. Legit chucked the monitor out the window, punched a hole in the wall, threw up on the carpet.

yeah, I'm trying to remember what screen name it was under so I can post the hand history, can't come up with it though. I used to run about 4 accounts every site.

My worst rage moment was similar to FBD in that it was sports related.

When the Patriots blew another Superbowl to the Giants this year, I turned around and kicked a heavy wooden table that was holding some snacks. The table went flying in the air spewing chips and pretzels everywhere...the worst part (after picking up the mess) was that I fucked up one of my toes and I was limping for over a week because the damn thing hurt so bad.

The wife wanted me to see a doctor, but there was no way I was going to admit that I tried punting a table across the room and just sucked it up...

As most of you know I'm a huge rage-guy. I had big anger issues as a child but for the most part have grown out of them after years of destroying valuable personal items. I've been through a few controllers (some neat stuff inside!) and threw my MW3 disc once in an effort to smash it so the hate-source would go away.
What helps me stay calm is having an angrier person in the party so I can focus on talking them down from the ledge rather than dealing with my frustrations.

That's why I keep getting the invites...Hmmm...

Worst rage moment was with Double Dragon on my NES, pulled it out and went outside and threw it onto a rock until It was in many pieces. Man I loved that game. I think Contra went flying accross the basement a few times.
