| I have a modded Xbox 360 controller, but didn't even know it was until my 12 year old nephew showed me over Thanksgiving. It is a controller that I got used a Game Stop many months ago. I thought it was broken, because you cannot sprint. It does however allow for rapid fire when using pistols or shotguns. I don't use it at all because it is missing the rubber pads that go on the control sticks, so it hurts my over 30 thumbs. If it is worth some $ I might have to EBay it!! |

| Does anyone really get busted for a modded controller? IW can't get the sound or spawns or the lag right so I'm thinking modded controllers are at the bottom of their list. I would be more worried about hackers screwing up my lobbies. Player cards in blops were surppose to be in good taste but I would see a shitload of porn or racist ever day. Is it right, no. Is it the end of the world, no afterall it's just a game. Would I use one? Mmmmmmm. I would if I was playing buy myself, I would just turn it off if I was playing with the clan or against some of the clan members. I wouldn't really care if some kid thought I was cheating. But just to make it clear I don't use one. You can check my stats. Lol..... |

| The day I start cheating in a video game is the day I start to rethink my priorities in life. |

| I absolutely have to use my Kontrol Freek FPS thumb stick extenders. I originally played COD 4 MW2 and BO on my PS3. About 90% of my friends that game were Xbox users so after many months of peer pressure I broke down and got one earlier this year. I was a 13 prestige in BO on my PS3 account before I switched and a pretty decent player but switching from the PS3 controller to the Xbox posed a big problem for me.
The thumb sticks on the PS3 are quite a bit bigger and have a longer travel radius. The longer travel radius means more precise aiming. I just couldn't get used to the smaller, tighter playing Xbox thumb sticks. I checked around on the web and found players using these extenders and thought for $10 they'd be worth a shot. Now I can't play without them they are awesome. The best part is that they are totally legit. Pro players can and do use them because they are competition legal. They take a few days to get used to but after that you won't want to play without them and for 10 bucks you can't go wrong. |

| On a side note there is a flipside to modded controllers. I watch youtube tricks, tips, tutorials and stuff by guys like Woodysgamertag, Whiteboy and zzirGrizz. zzirGrizz is a full time gamer/youtuber (this is how he earns a living, rough I know lol) and is actually sponsored by rapid modz which is kinda dirty since they make these "cheater" controllers. However he is a lefty and plays using the southpaw controller setup which is only available as an option in the COD series and a few other games. Rapid Modz makes a controller that you can program to play southpaw on any game regardless of whether the option is available.
As far as using a mod controller for an unfair advantage: Go for it if it makes you feel better. I don't really care as long as you are on my team. If I get killed a couple times by a jackass that I can tell is using a modded controller I back out, file a complaint and find a new lobby simple done and done. Boosters and game hackers, on the other hand, you my friends are the scum of the fucking earth lol.

| A few thoughts:
Thanks to Battlefield's layout I'm now on Tactical layout for MW3. I drop shot all the time, but not because I want to, but I'm a nervous nellie who apparently used to panic knife all the time. It helps sometimes to drop shot, but at other times, not so much. It's not from a modded controller at all.
I picked up the FPS Freek joystick extensions, which are allowed for competitive play and are not considered cheating. It keeps my thumbs up in a more natural position and allow me to have a wee bit more aim control for long range.
I don't believe modded controllers should be allowed for use in play with the clan. There is a reason I'm with the >30<'s and it's because of good conversation with like-minded mature folks, respect for other players, and clean games.
There is so much cheating out there, and with our new Elite clan growth, I hope that we can keep the >30<'s legit and true to the original meaning of being a >30<. |

| I posted this in another thread but there are some legit controllers out there that are MLG approved. The ones from Scuf Gaming have extra buttons on the bottom so you don't have to take your thumb off the stick to drop shot/jump what ever. I've burned through 3 Razer Onza controllers. These things are garbage, don't waste your money. | |
