Helping fellow clannies out!

Hey all. Due to the extraordinary depth of life experiences, jobs, and specialities we possess I think we could start a "help a brother out" thread.
I saw there was a post regarding HR and references and another on flooring and multiple members were offering advice. That is what is awesome about this clan. Nobody is a selfish a-hole. What I recommend is a reference thread where members sign up if they want to be listed as a resource to help a fellow clan member out if they are seeking some advice. It should be a list of what you are specialized in or extremely good at so that if someone has a question they could reference the list and shoot a PM to that member. For example I would hit Shorty up for a question regarding carpentry. I can edit the list and add you as you post. If you don't post I won't add you to the list even if I know you are good for something, ie JSavvy for giving proper protocol and etiquette on rage quitting.

good idea nate, im a carpenter and joiner for the last 14 yrs. both making and fitting jobs out to high spec regs, so hit me up if you want to know pretty much anything in building ive had good experience in most areas. oh but US regs im not to familiar with, im uk.

Well I'm a Dental Technician, I could help with crown and bridge questions. But I think BigDaddy would have the educated answer to any questions dental related.

Aside from that, I know my way around quads, dirtbikes and sandrails. Built a few quad motors from the ground up. Been a part of 6 sandrails being fabricated from a pile of tubing. Highly modified VW components are what we specialize in.

I was in the US Navy for half my life, so don't let your kids go to a recruiter without talking to me first. Now I'm in law enforcement, so I have some legal knowledge. I am an attorney with a specialized focus in bankruptcy (I also sit as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee)...most legal questions are state specific, but I can try my best if anyone has questions regarding bankruptcy, mortgages, foreclosures, loans etc...

I am engaged in full combat with a cloudy pool in the backyard. I think it is winning. But I installed it myself and I think it is only about 1/4 inch from level across 27 feet. I might feel comfortable advising people on that.


Remodeled 2 bathrooms that look pretty good. Demolishing the 3rd as we speak. Not as good as Marsh I bet, but I learned some stuff. First thing is dont do a tile surround for the bath using 4 inch tile as it is a major pain. New bath is getting 12 inch tiles for sure.

It's the "and' that is getting me. Does that mean I should try PB & bacon sandwiches?

I must say I love toasted raisin bread with cheese but a weird one from my Aunt and Uncle...strawberry jam AND cheese sandwiches. Apparently the greatest thing since PB and bacon sandwiches I'm told.
